Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments I forgot you were in Finland, Camilla. Which throws out the EU theory, Peggy.

But all works still work here in the future. Not tempting fate though. Goodreads is not known for it's smarts.

Camilla | 2101 comments Peggy, aren't you in Europe? You were able to post a link, but I'm not, so not consistently geographical.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Peggy is in the Netherlands, so agree.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I thought it was such a good theory! Rejected though. Too bad!

Just checking to see if I can add a link I've added before.

https://www.amazon.ca/Mini-Amigurumi-...

And an amazon link.

I am in Canada and it seems to be working fine for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kristie | 19146 comments I have a post with the window gazing link in it and I can't even save it if I edit it. Goodreads wants me to delete the link before saving. So, definitely no outside links for me! I am able to link to Goodreads pages though.

If your link was in the original monthly thread, can you copy the GR link to the Window Gazed thread, if you are trying to post your read?

message 258: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19146 comments It is, Cherie. That is my plan for reporting. I can link right to the comment.

The issue I was having was being able to edit another comment that had the link in it. I add the links to my monthly planning and check the books off as I read them. I can't check off the books now without deleting the link.

Camilla | 2101 comments I sent a message to GR Help yesterday, complaining about the change. Now they've sent me an e-mail, asking me to rate their customer service. No, I'm still not able to add links or edits posts containing links, so how do you think I'll rate your customer service? And no, I haven't received any answer or explanation, just an e-mail asking for the rating. Neither has anybody answered questions regarding this that were posted by other members in the Help Q&A area.

Jenn | 3029 comments I am also in Canada Dawn, and haven’t been able to add links for more than a month. Which is why I didn’t try to join the window gazers 😞 and not sure how I am going to proceed with the interactive tasks for the Museum Tour 😞

You can still join!! People have been reporting with links by putting spaces in them to get around in the meantime. Could work for interactive tasks in the meantime too. Inelegant, but works?

Jenn | 3029 comments Hmmmmm, I may have to take a peek 😃

Camilla | 2101 comments Thank you for the tip, Rusalka. I was able to report my book in the yearly challenge by putting extra spaces into the link. The link looks abysmal, I'm sorry about that, Janice.

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1786 comments Could it be a platform thing vs. a country thing?? Like IE, vs Firefox, vs Chrome.....??

I know when I first joined they recommended Firefox to fix the issues I was having.

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I wonder if it's a glitch. They are owned by Amazon so it doesn't make sense that they block the ability to link to it.

Camilla | 2101 comments It seems to be working again, at least I was just able to edit earlier posts containing links. Hope it stays that way.

Thank goodness. I was able to edit an older post with a link today too.
