Michael McBrearty Thank for the warm welcome. yes there are many books that I'm looking forward to reading. High on my list are 20th century American classics. Would you have one or two to recommend?

Cassandra | 5832 comments I really enjoyed A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and One Hundred Years of Solitude, which I've read in the past couple of years. The Great Gatsby was a solid read as well, and pretty short. I liked To Kill a Mockingbird when I read it in high school and hope to read it again as an adult.

There are still a lot of classics that I need to read, though.
