Great idea to add another area of quests.



Another suggestions for potential future mercenaries:
Dumbledore (to boost magic power)
Jaimie Lannister (to boost sword power)
Dracula (to steal HP from your enemy and add them to your hero's health)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (to mindtrick the enemy to miss one turn in the battle entirely)

or Severus Snape to honor Alan Rickman (something nifty with potions - to either poison the enemy or produce one potion for every battle)
