Updating my ridiculously long list of available/in progress... Just wanted to double check some things quick (even though it will take me awhile to get to them): For The Power of 'Blue' it says it activates the 'green' gem? (diabolical or unintentional?) ;)
Slightly related -- with the shield -- can it be used as is while in search of the gems (post polishing, etc) or does it only work at its base level once polished, etc AND all of the gems are collected (pre-activation)?

2. Is there anyway to collect more goblin bones besides killing the goblin weekly? I'm starting late, so I was just wondering if there is another avenue.

You can have all of them if you want! I know that's what I'm working towards (among other things). haha.
And I think if you get the Hat Hat which duplicates and gives you x2 instead of just x1 goblin bone is one way.
There's also a Transmogrification Potion - "3 Gold(must be unlocked through Alchemy That! quest) - Transforms 1 dropped item from a common monster into any other dropped item from a common monster." You just have to do the quest to get it first (called Alchemy That!). But then you could turn bat wings or rat tails into goblin bones and vice versa.
Not sure if there are other avenues for this, but those are the two I've found to increase what you can get. ;)

You could always lure out the goblin by throwing s book at in (uses a book, but let's you attack them sooner).

There's also some sources of decreasing the wait time of common monsters.

Remember you can only wear one hat at a time.
Still confused about the Pet Rock. Does it subtract 1 from the monster attack?Does the pet plus potion double it's effect since its a "Real" Pet?

Were you asking if you could have more than 1 dog for instance? For the quests (like for the puppy), you can only do them once unless it specifies "Repeatable Quest" so only 1 dog. Sorry :( Same with horse.
Reva, it never occured to me that it wouldn't. That's the whole point of making the Rock your pet. PPP doubles all of your pets' effects. Rocky is a pet, it has two effects, PPP should double them.

So it's not just attack, it's any effect. (Though if it's something that only happens once I think it doubles the single effect. So it's not doubling power and number of times, just the power).

Heh oops. It polishes the blue gem. I couldn't decide which color matched my quest and effect best :P
You must collect all 5 gems to get the base effect. Then you can polish each gem individually to gain that gem's special effect. Does that answer it?

Yes, it subtracts 1 from the monsters attack.
So Monster 5 Attack 10 HP is now 4 Attack 10 HP.
Though if it's something like "monster gains 1 attack each round" then you have to recalculate each round to lower their attack by 1.
Blue/Green Gem typo *cough* is all better now :) I've also specified that you need the shield completed from "One Shield to Rule Them All" in case anyone is confused by that.
When will the scrounger list for November be coming out?
I finally could go over the November update. Great job, Kelly, as usual. Love the giants and the baubles. The nap quest is a great idea. I might be tempted to save money and buy a hideous hat hat to help with that one. :)
I only have one minor problem with the new quests. I looked we don't have the ab function on any of our calculators. Could someone do it for a 300 and 400 P book for me please?
If you're using Windows there's an xy function in the calculator that comes with Windows. Also typing into google "2 to the 3rd power" will get you a response in googles calculator.Otherwise here's a large 2 to the power of table http://www.exploringbinary.com/a-tabl...

For the windows calculator you have to go view and choose scientific or you can do it long hand and multiply it out
example: 2x2x2x2x2 for 2 to the power of 5
So really, that quest is built for books 900 to 1000 pages! you would need 625, 300 pg books to complete

Re Attack of the Queens:How does the rock enhanced with pet plus potion affect their attack.
Is it -2 for EACH of the Queens?

Catherine asked that question yesterday. It takes APs off each queen.
So, my travels back in time have been fruitful so far. I have managed to collect several wonderful animals for my menagerie AND build a splendid little cottage for my things. Here they are. Still too early in our relationships for them to have earned proper names, but I'm working on it. :)Puppy!

I feel like someone already asked this but i missed the answer - Does the shield work without the gems negating the 1 ATK point, and then with the gems activated they also do their extra bonuses?OR do you need to have all gems for the shield to work at all, they just don't have to be activated yet?
Also the Power of Blue is for the blue gem.. but we don't have that yet? I only see the White, Green, and Purple?

Yes, if you get the base shield you get the base effect. The activated gems provide the enhanced effects.
Hydra has the blue gem.

Gotcha. So shield does nothing until you've defeated the baddies who have the various unactivated gems. Then after you collect all 5 (I think that's the right number. haha.) you get the base shield effect.
Thanks, I'm going back to some stuff I skipped over and planning to go back to monsters and such since at first I wasn't thinking we'd get to keep our people. So I'm glad of that. Just got around to putting a kitchen in yesterday. lol.
Congrats on all your new companions Daphne! I saved up books for about a month just not having time to slot, and that took a long time. I can't imagine having to go through the whole year! But still seems like a fun puzzle to try and get the most BANG for your BOOKS. :)

I started a new shelf to put the ones I've used in to keep track of them. I feel like a trust fund adventurer. I'm this scrawny little lvl 4 hero running around with a lvl 8 sword, war horse, a nice house, and several pets.
heh. You'll bulk up soon enough! I'm glad we get to keep going, because I skipped a lot of the pets because I would have been sad to leave them by starting over. Now I can just continue my hoarding. ;)
I can't decide if I would have done things differently if I'd had a chance to plan strategy with a lot more foresight into quests and monsters. Maybe I just would have levelled up my staff faster as I'm pretty weak right now, haha.
