For people who use https://wordcounter.net/ for the Relay Race quest: Make sure you delete all commas and punctuation marks, the program counts them as characters. I also noticed that it counts spaces between words (but there is a "Characters (no spaces)" option in the box to the right).I counted about 10 books manually and when I wanted to verify my results with the Word counter I got baffled by completely different results. ;)

Congrats on the horse :)
I don't know if this has been asked yet. Can the Bunny's egg be eaten mid-battle? After all, if you can drink a potion, why can't you eat an egg ( or a mouse ball for that matter)?
I think that it has to be eaten between battles. The same with other meals. I think it's been asked before somewhere in this thread. I guess it's easier to ask Kelly again than searching for the answer - the thread is just way too long.
No, its use is very limited. I think there are only about 4 or 5 quests where you can use it. It's nice to have it if you have a kitchen though - you'll get salt and herbs cheaper.

See, I didn't think of that. Thanks.
Glad to be of help. :)BTW Have you figured out where best to use the Duplication potion? I plan to use it in the Relay Race - I have a 120 Furlong book and with it duplicated I'll make the first part of the race in 3 books. Not bad! ;)

I thought I'd save it for a 900 or 1000 page book if I ever need to boost my sword or a series 19 or 20 book for the staff.
With so many books available, I'd hesitate to waste it on a relay book.
That's because you play on another level, Reva. I will never reach such high lvl weapons. I'll be happy with lvl 5 sword and lvl 12-13 staff. And to use the potion for a 500+ book is a waste for me. So I'm looking for a quest where the duplication would bring me the best possible benefit. So far it's the relay race. I'll wait for August update to see if there's a better option though.
From what Kelly was hinting, there will likely be more duplicate potions available through future quests. So don't waste too much time worrying over where to best use it. :-)
Any chance of an August preview, a Caravan Preview and / or a hint as to what, if any, quests are expiring?

Reva wrote: "Any chance of an August preview, a Caravan Preview and / or a hint as to what, if any, quests are expiring?":) How bout I promise to start working on them today.
Caravan I expect to be mostly similar to the last one to give people one more chance to pick stuff up. I expect some price changes in the one following that though.
There may be a surprise in the Caravan. I'll see how it shakes out. Aiming for it to be out Friday.
I'm thinking 2 new monsters for August. I don't know about quests right now. Right now some of the stories are just in my head but that won't help you on specifics.
I think there may be a world event soonish (next month or two) that at least partially involves the kitchen :)
New monsters, ahhh! I've decided that I need to go after more monsters, I'm a little bored of rats and goblins. Just worked out that after one more bunny egg and one more staff level up I can kill a troll without needing potions. This time next week, troll, you're toast!
I am working on leveling up so I can slay a dragon. Those orbs look extremely useful!!BTW Beautiful horse Cathy!
Being able to boost staff and sword by 3 is great but the best is the1 HP per battle. Recovery of health is really fast.
Re: The Orb of Air -- Does it reduce SALT and HERB to 3 books vs 4? I'm assuming yes but wanted confirmation.
What about the New Gang quest?Essentially it's asking for 9 male (or female) authors. Would Find items potion reduce it by 4?
Can you combine Orb of Air to reduce it one more?
Reva wrote: "What about the Gangland quest?"Not for that one. Find Items isn't listed and it's not really finding items, it's eliminating people.
Same answer. It's not listed as Find Items eligible. I've added that to all the ones that the potion works on. Any the potion works on the orb works on.In general apply the Orb of Air before you apply the find items potion.
So if it asks for 9 items you'd reduce it by one then cut it in half rather than the other way around.
Hi. I guess so, or everyone is busy doing Midas Quests for GOLD in the Caravan coming tomorrow or the next day. :-)
Hi. I thought I heard crickets in here. It's been pretty quiet. I guess everyone is trying to catch up on quest as I am.
I'm catching up on quests and working on my sword. I'm ready for that caravan so I can buy some heal potions!
So I'm working on Time For the Dead (using my gift cards and my find items potion) and I realized.... WHY ARE SO MANY BOOKS PUBLISHED JANUARY 1ST.Seriously, I just check 20 books I have on my ipod and EVERY SINGLE ONE is published January. What the heck?!
There are plenty published other times of the month and other months of the year. What are you looking for?

That's GR default date if only year is put in.

If only the year is entered into Goodreads and not the specific month and day, Goodreads will default it to January 1. So it's not that a lot of books are published on that date. Just that a lot of books don't have specific dates entered into the system. :)

Ah ha! That must be it. Luckily I found a book that fits, but geez. I thought maybe it was a book publishing marketing ploy.
Next time I'll check WorldCat or Wiki for publish dates. I had no idea GR defaulted that way.
