Wedding!!!! Awesome and congrats! When is that happening?
Maybe the Mods can do a Quest in honor of the occasion. ;-)

Well so is this quest. And look how good this has turned out.

Maybe Queen Skye will find a consort :)

Aww Shucks.
Anyhow. I have this awesome spreadsheet thingamajig (technical term) that automatically adds a new defense goal a few seconds after someone completes one of theirs. It's been working pretty well in test so now we have to test it on a larger scale.
Something terrible will probably happen to it and we'll have mass chaos but it's cool right now :)
Gahh thanks everyone!! It's October 10th so exactly 100 days from today. I'm super excited, but had NO IDEA how many things there were to plan, how many decision to be made, AND HOW MANY OPINIONS MY FAMILY MEMBERS WOULD HAVE!! HahaLuckily I'm a list/spreadsheet addict so that has helped so much!

That sounds like a supreme spreadsheet! I am in awe of your spreadsheet making abilities.
Hah :) I've been listening to the xoxo afterdark podcast thing and (a few weeks late on my part) but they keep talking about weddings and craziness. So it makes me laugh to come on here and have you be in wedding craziness. It gets better :) Then after a year or so you only remember the good parts that don't make you nuts.

I just got married in May and I had no idea how much stress it was going to be! And as far as Challenges, I was all "Oh, I'll still get plenty of reading done...". Yeah. One book read in May. That was it.
But Congratulations! It will all be worth it in the end. :)

I just showed up. LOL
Both of our parents said "Sure you can plan all of it, we will just show up and smile."Turns out that was wishful thinking because now they are constantly texting me with their opinions on EVERYTHING which is fine, except we have different ideas about how this wedding is going to go. And they need help picking out own their outfits/shoes/jewelry!
Also they keep adding guests!! Which is no fun because it costs so much more each time!
I'm sure it will be fun and go smoothly the day of, I'm just hoping I keep my sanity for the next 3 months!

I came from a very small family and I was conscious about my parents not being able to pay for a large wedding. My husband's father was one of 13 brothers and sisters (90 people to first cousins -- not counting children!). So when my inlaws said just contribute what you can -- we'll pay for the rest-- I had no choice.

Wow that's a HUGE family!! I'm the girl in both my family and my fiances siblings so this is the only wedding that either family will have to pay for. I think that's why my in-laws are just as excited as my parents and want to help plan everything.
My in-laws are paying for our honeymoon which I am eternally grateful for! I cannot even wait to go and enjoy the beach!!
Oh good luck, Rebecca - and I feel your pain. We're also getting married - September 12 for us. What I thought was going to be a nice small wedding is currently numbering 100 guests. I am already losing sleep over it. Not to mention the massive culture clash (my OH is Chinese Malaysian) which has caused no end of grief between me and his father.Everyone says the day will pass in a blur. I'd like mine to be a blur of Prosecco...

Good luck, I can't wait to hear how it goes!!! Weddings are very hard on the couple and parents and I hope yours goes smoothly!
You too!! At least we can always go and hide ourselves in a book if the build up gets to be too much...
Congrats on the upcoming nuptials NancyHelen & RebeccaS! Don't let the prep stress you out too much :)
Hey everyone! I've been meaning to jump in on this challenge for months and it's been one thing after another that's kept me from doing it. But I'm ready to quest now! I'm working on reading through all the quests and trying to figure out how to best allocate what's already in my Tote of Infinite Books. I'm sure I'll have a question or two as I read through it all, but in the meantime I would not be opposed to advice from some seasoned adventurers! :DTo add to the excitement, I'm also getting married this fall. September 26th, which puts us at 85 days out. YIKES! Out wedding is about a half hour south of Philadelphia and the weekend we booked our date for TWO years ago just happens to be the date that the Pope will be in Philadelphia. It's been a hectic thing to plan. We have most of the major pieces in place, we're just working on decorations and song lists. The little things. ;)
Welcome Vicky and congrats to you on your wedding. There must be something catchy in this quest. ;-)A good number of quests have expired. But a time walking potion would allow you to open up an expired quest. One of those quests would yield another timewalking potion. To free up a second quest. You can get 2 birthday cards (to extend expiry for a month) from the mods -- one you might want to extend the First Academy Quest which expires July 15/15.
Midas quests get you gold which can buy things in the Market Caravan which comes the last week of the month.
Most of the quests are fun. They yield experience points and more importantly potions which help freatly in battle To get things like bat wings and goblin bones you have to defeat them in battle. That means leveling up your Hero's HEALTH POINTS (HP) and leveling up up your sword and staff. I personally found it easier to level up the staff faster than the sword -- less pages to read.
Fell free to ask as many questions as you want. Feel free to take a peek at what others have done to complete quests. We don't mind.
Welcome to the game and congrats on the upcoming nuptials, Vicky! :)If you have any questions about the quests or the rules feel free to ask.
EDIT: Now we have to have a "wedding" quest. With 3 hero brides it simply has to happen. ;-)
re Goblin bones/Bat Wings Plague Treatment:I added Cathy M to our list.

Are there any heroes who are not on this list (doesn't apply to Cathy G and Zee - if either of you two have any surplus goblin bones to donate on Friday and/or Saturday, you're welcome to do it!) and could donate goblin bones on July 3, 4 or 5?
If we get 5 goblin bones that way and Catherine and Teresa are willing to switch their bones to bats then we'll finish on Sunday and that is a huge improvement!!! We could enjoy the benefit given by one of our pets one week sooner.
We're in need of 5 goblin bones!

We're currently 5 goblin bones short!
Heroes of the realm, if you plan to slay a goblin on Sunday or you have one, two or three goblin bones under your bed or in your cupboard, could you please donate some of those for a good cause? :) *puppy dog eyes*
Dr. Cottage's Cottage
!!!To make it super clear!!! - this announcement is for people who hadn't claimed all their donation spots yet. So it doesn't apply to Catherine, Cathy M, Diane, Mary, Teresa, RebeccaS, Reva and me.

LOL! You can always tell on Tea that she didn't dissuade you from hijacking the Notice Board thread. XD
☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ wrote: "I have a question about the Goblin Bones. If I donate 5 can I save the cure for later?"Carmen you can donate max 1 bone a day. You get 2 exp points for your first donation of the week, and 1 exp points per bone for the rest of the week.
If you could donate one today, one tomorrow and one on Sunday it would be enough and we'll be very grateful.
The donations are made here: Dr. Cottage's Cottage
We collect the bones for Dr. Cottage, once we collect them all he'll cure one of the plague stricken species. The plague applies to everyone with animals and so does the cure, once Dr. Cottage finds the cure all of the pets (of a certain species) are treated and cured. I doubt that the plague thing will return this year, so you don't need to store the cure (and as far as I understand this plague it can't be stored).
If you don't have any animals yourself then your donations will bring you some extra exp points and a good feeling you helped out your fellow competitors. :)

Lol.
I'll leave it up until you guys finish the cure.
Carmen, we currently need one last Goblin bone. A couple of very kind heroes stopped by and left their Goblin bones for Dr. Cottage to use them for his cure. If you're willing you can donate a Goblin Bone now - you'll get + 2 exp points in exchange.

I don't own one yet myself, but I would like to buy a round of ale in celebration for the healthy return of the horses!Huzzah!

Welcome, Jacki! :)P.S. Just to let you know, we'll manage to get the next Plague treatment on Sunday. YAY!
Thanks to Angel, Carmen, Cathy G & Cathy M for digging deep into their stash and producing some extra bones and/or wings, and thanks to Mary, Catherine and Teresa for re-shuffling their claimed donation spots to make that happen. :)
Hi Jacki, welcome & enjoy the mayhem!
You've caught us at a very busy time, trying to cure animals, but just ignore all that, kick back, relax and have fun doing the quest your own way :)
Zuzanna & Reva totally deserve a shout-out for the organisation of the cures too, helping us minimise the time needed. Don't forget, on Tuesday we thought it'd take us three weeks to get the bone/wing cure done. SEVEN days, in the end. And we coudn't have done that without your planning & plotting :)
