When there's more than one author you can pick either of them, Reva. So for your book you can pick HelenKay Dimon for 92 Furlongs.

Question - I saw on a few of the threads the use of Gift Cards to extend the dates of challenges. Was that through the caravan to "purchase"? Sorry if it is as I haven't really looked through all of them because I'm not quite there yet.
Also I checked my stats and noticed that I'm about to level up again so I might as well take advantage of the available HP that I currently have and help you all by killing 1 civet tonight :)

The gift cards expired May 31/2015. Ask the mods about Birthday cards.
Timewalker Potions allow you to revive expired quests.

Don't worry. We're glad to have you whenever :)
Gift cards are free. You have 2 available for you through the Birthday giftcards. They can be used both on the same quest or on two different ones.
There might be timewalker potions available in a future caravan at some point but there hasn't been up til now. They've been quest rewards.

Let me see what Tea thinks. Maybe she has better flower eyes than I do :P

No, Only quests that are noted as repeatable are able to be repeated.
Maybe I'll come up with something special that uses the potions for those of you able to keep up with the quests. Let me ponder.

Just posting that your using it is fine by me. I just like having things posted so someone could go back and see your progression. (It also makes things easier to fix if you ever end up with a mistake, I've done it on mine before :P).

Just own a falcon and collect mouse meat every Sunday once the plague lifts.

I was on the fence whether to get one or not but now I'll probably use my books in the Relay Race.

(my apologies for posting this but I read those sentences and laughed my fool head off)

here's the direct quote
He gave her a curious look, probably referring to the pesky insect that descended on Florida twice a year. The creatures went flying around in swarms, Thousands of Pairs Conjoined in bliss until they splatted en masse onto every car in the state lol
So I'd get credit for love bug,(mentioned earlier) insect, creatures, swarms, pairs and they correct?

Yup.

Meaning the twilight fan fic part is still on.
*sigh*
I may read it anyway, I'm a glutton for punishment, meaning I will do the all package (books, movie, other POVs)

I haven't seen the movie yet. Is it good?

Kelly,
So are we looking at a minimum of 2000 bugs for this book?
I don't believe you answered the question of selling the balance (1900) at market. :-)

It could be better. But I had some ubber mega fan of the series seated next to me, which ruined the whole thing. She wasn't bad, Jamie sounded robotic. He has a great bottom though.

LOL

Well, I follow several youtube movie reviewers. Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns are my favourite. Chris rated the movie F, and Jeremy rated it "worse than dogshit". Chris is what you would call a serious reviewer. He didn't hate on the Twilight movies. He didn't love them but When there was something good there he pointed it out. So based on his review I wouldn't touch 50 shades movie with a ten-foot pole.
EDIT: He found only two positive things in the whole movie: Dakota Johnson is a good actress (unfortunately she was given ridiculous dialogue and a partner she has no chemistry with) and the movie was well lit and shot.

Before I crack the spreadsheet out, can I ask another question - if I haven't claimed a weapon upgrade yet, can I rearrange books there too?
I am getting the sense (at this late stage - I'm nothing if not a bit slow) that upgrading the Magic Staff might be easier than upgrading the sword. Oh dear, all of those lovely books wasted...

Yes, unless you claim an upgrade you can rearrange your books. The same goes to all the quests - unless you claim experience points you can shuffle your books around.
Re weapons: magic staff is much easier/quicker to upgrade than the sword. - if you like series books that's a no brainer.
EDIT: If you're interested I can look at your progress so far and give you some tips. Just tell me what is your objective in this game?

Sweetie you can rearrange to your hearts content if you haven't claimed the upgrade.
I offered the books to help you up your attack profile. Since you were already so high with your sword getting to level 8 would allow you to attack civets.
Very early in the game I realized that the staff was easier to upgrade than the sword.
However you will need Both your sword and staff if you plan to go after dragons. I had a level 5 sword and level 15 staff. Zuzana used less.
Going after the uncommon monsters yielded much needed exp points (to raise the Hero's max HP) and potions needed to attack the dragons.
You can't believe the number of HP and Experience points we gained going after civets simply by having the orbs of fire, earth and water. (7 civets per week yields 8 exp pts and 7 HP.)
Costing nothing, every week I accumulate from goblin, bat, greater sewer rat and drop bear 6 exp points, 4 HP 1 goblin bone, 1 bat wing, 1 rat tail and 1 bear meat.
However, if your goal is to work on the quests only, then don't bother too much with the weapons. The aim of this RPG Adventure is what's important to You. Whatever makes You happy. So do what makes you smile. :-)

Re weapons: I killed all minor dragons with staff LVL 9 and sword LVL 3. If you want to kill the Great Novel dragon you need to get higher (lvl 11-13) and that is where you appreciate easier upgrade of the staff (less bulky books).

Reva, I will definitely take up that offer if you still have those 600+ page books? I got stuck because I couldn't find a 500+ page book for Level7. I had listed books in my Time for the Dead quest which I had hoped to read but which I haven't read which is where you might have seen how I could level up. But I can definitely - with a bit of planning and those precious 600+ pagers from you - at least move forward a little.
Zuzana, my plan has never been particularly focused, but seeing all of the dragon slayers here, I am feeling pretty hungry to join in those hallowed ranks. As such, I'd like to work my way towards that rather than anything else (I realised in about month 2 that I was never going to fulfil all of the quests). Feel free to have a look at my thread - I think it is as up to date as possible. I'll take any advice and will buy pints of ale all round as payment.

You need to pick your main weapon. If you pick your sword you can kill minor dragons much faster (because you haven't got many books left to a LVL 8 sword) but you'll probably be forced to switch to staff for the Great Novel Dragon. A LVL 11 sword means you'll have to read three 900+ books, two 1000+ books and one 1100+ books and that's brutal IMO.
Tell me which weapon you want to focus on and I'll work out a tactic plan for you how to kill red, green and blue dragons. :)
P.S.: Ignore civets. They'll be all killed before you level up your sword.
EDIT: Do you have any potions? I can't find any in your thread. And do you have any Birthday cards left?

To be used for sword only with my compliments.

I'll level my sword up to 7, and then I think I'll switch to the staff. I like series books and I have access to quite a lot, so I don't mind doing that. I think I have far more chance of doing that than reading a 1000+ page book...!

Ordinarily, I can read about four to five 250 page books a week, although I have been in a bit of a slump over the past couple of weeks.

I don't believe you answered the question of selling the balance (1900) at market. :-) "
Lol. No selling bugs at the market. If she does manage to find 100 references to bugs in that book she can use it :P
My intent was to make a quest where find items potions were very useful but it wasn't impossible without them.

You might want to check out what others have read for their Series books. There are a lot of series with books under 200 pages that you could move quickly through. None of us mind you looking.

Ordinarily, I can read a..."
Also, I wouldn't put too much stock in exactly what weapons you have leveled up compared to other people. The new evil wizard is evil and there will be many twists to his creatures that could be easy or hard depending on your particular layout.
I do plan to try to hit opposites though (like the dragon who was better with sword and the one better with the staff). So if one's hard the next might be easy :P
And despite what any of you may think, I do try to stay out of individual threads so I don't know who I'm making things hard or easy on.

I've just spend an hour working on NancyHelen's attack plan and if the foreshadowed changes affect dragon battles I'd like to know so I can stop and throw those spreadsheets away. ;)

Lol. No selling bugs at the market..."
Here's my problem with that though It does mention a number of bugs and it implies that it's a huge group when you consider they smashed on windshields on every car in Florida I mean how many car owners live there. Not to mention tourists with cars LOL

you'll need to level up your hero to LVL 7 (135 XPs), your sword to LVL 7, get 1 Minor Poison Potion, 1 Heal Potion, 1 Major Heal Potion and then you can attack the Red Dragon. You'll get your very own Orb of Fire (+3 bonus AP to your staff).
Then you should focus on leveling your staff to LVL 9. Once you reach that level you can kill Bats and Bears with one shot.
You'll also need 1 Damage Potion (or 1 Enhance Weapon Potion) and 5 Heal Potions to attack the Blue Dragon. You'll get the Orb of Water which is one of the most useful items in the game.
Summary of potions you'll need: 1 Damage potion, 1 Major Heal Potion, 6 Heal Potions, 1 Minor poison Potion.
Nancy, I can send you a PM with details but it would be better to wait for Kelly's answer. If the attack conditions changes in near future then all of the above is totally useless. We will have to think of a new tactic.

I've just spend an hour working on NancyHelen's attack plan an..."
Nope. It's just for those specific monsters. Nothing else is affected. (See the new Jabberwocky for an example). It just forces people to not use the same strategy or just brute force each time.

Just individual mentions though :P Implied number doesn't count.
"There were so many bugs I couldn't keep count" would still only be one :P

Great. I love you, Kelly. i've just spent quite a long time working and reworking battle possibilities with a calculator. So you can imagine how I felt when I read your update. :)
