I second Mary. No other challenge has come close and Kelly and Tea, your creative minds keep us all hopping. Thanks for all the hard work that you do.

Thank you, Tea And Kelly! I love this challenge, as do others, which is why I think we all got passionate about changes. As I said, I've come to appreciate this latest twist. I can't imagine the time and effort and creativity you've put into it.
I know I was complaining a bit and I'm sorry! I'm a bit of a control freak (just ask my fiancé) and I am trying to get better at reacting to things out of my control. Even though this is just fun challenge, I have to remind myself that sometime because it takes a lot of my time and Iove it ;) I just want to let you know that's just a personality thing of mine and please ignore it because I'm not trying to undermine all the work you've done!
Just think, if everyone is having such strong reactions, it's because they love this challenge and are attached to it. That's amazing because I don't think I've ever seen anything like it (even the other group challenges I've done). Kelly and Tea you have done such an amazing job with this and your dedication is truly truly appreciated!!

BUT, I completely understand your decision because reading challenges are supposed to be fun. That's the whole point. And if this isn't working for you and it's not fun for you, then it makes sense to do whatever feels right for you. I hope you will be able to come back later and return to the fun.
That's not a reflection on Kelly or Tea or anyone else in the challenge. I'm just saying that Cait should do whatever makes reading enjoyable for her.

I agree! I've read a boatload of books and even found diamond in the rough from this challenge. A couple years ago I was reading MAYBE 10 books a year!
Whoo Hoo! I've been monster hunting: A rat, a civet, a goblin, a bat, a troll and a Green Dragon all in one day! Now I've leveled up and can't kill rats anymore, but I'm happy!!!
Oh and a drop bear... I was only able to do all that because I still have a damage potion in effect. Once that wears off... Well, lets just say I have a few more levels to go on my staff to one hit bats!
Is the Big Heart available to battle? • Big Heart - A large pinkish Yeti that only shows up during Hallmark holidays. Does Father's Day count? It's the only monster I haven't battled. Hint hint-- any new ones in the pike?

You can still battle Big Heart :P It didn't have to be on a hallmark holiday, that's just when he spawned.
And yes, there's more monsters in the works. I'm hoping to get the new big bad guy published for this release. Otherwise he may come mid month.

I probably wouldn't have put the effort into an individual cure but I'm really enjoying the collaboration currently. I love that this challenge has a really strong community vibe to it and I think that speaks volumes as to how much everyone has embraced this challenge.Excellent monster hunting skills Teresa!
Thank you guys for your kind words. Tea and I almost have the July update out. There's a bit of evilness to it but it's all individual evilness :P

Speaking of which, for those E. L. James fans I am almost finished Grey (Fifty Shades #4). While I'm enjoying it, I would have preferred something more original. All she did was retell #1 from Christian's point of view.

I have the movie sitting on my counter. I have mixed feelings about it. I assume it will be somewhat comedic based on reviews I've heard.

Found it. :) Didn't refresh.
Dear heroes, I'd like to say this time I'm innocent! :) Mostly.

July's update is up
No quests were added to the expiring list. However, keep in mind The Academy quest was already set to expire 7/15/15.

Great update! That Jabberwocky is fierce! It will take me 14 heal potions, a damage potion, a enhanced weapons potion and a poison potion. I could save my self two heal potions if I have either death's wish or the Plasma weapon.

Love the July update. The new monster is fierce - we'll need plenty of potions to tackle that one.
All the quests look great. The rewards are really tempting. I am having trouble picking between them. Upon first reading the Relay Race seems most enticing - have to figure out how many books I'll need to finish it - might be plenty.
I'm intrigued by the update but it leaves me with the following questionYou have a hall of fame post for those heroes who have bested the novel dragon How are the rest of us supposed to get him if Reva has slain it ? LOL unless there's a monster revive potion somewhere I don't see it happening (Just an observation this is in no way intended to be a criticism)
With the new monster: 1 Are you saying weapons are permanently dialed back to 0 (attack 2) when we attack?
OR
2. Are you saying that, as of this date, the weapons dial back to 0 and have to be rebuilt?

I understood it as when you attack that monster your weapons are dialed back.
Maybe I'm wrong. (Wouldn't be first time)

Don't worry, the rest of you can still kill the Great Novel Dragon. He's just "dead" as far as the story lore is concerned. You also can skip right to the rare creatures coming from the new story line and wait on the dragons if you need to. It's up to you. The rare ones are meant to be tricky to kill. I've been trying to do twists on each one so you can't use the same strategy.

Just for that monster. You can augment back up your damage with potions, horses, orbs or anything else that increases damage.

I liked the trilogy 4-5 stars. Grey I'd give a 2.5. I think she could have made it much better -- filled in his back story more. If she plans to copy this format with books 2 and 3 I'll probably give them a pass.
Kelly wrote: "Glad you like it :)"Too much spoiled for choice actually :)
Thank you so much for all the time, effort and creativity you put into creating them, Kelly and Tea! This adventure is so much fun — and rather addictive too ;)
Thanks Kelly! It's a relief that I can still get him I think I'll see how others best that new monster
