Yeah, I'll be working on it soon. Hopefully next few days."
Hi Kelly, Tea, just to say I've sent a message/suggestion to the Mod account. undoubtedly too late for inclusion in July, but hopefully interesting ;-P

Congrats Catherine! I'm jealous of all these dragon slayers!!No matter how I play the numbers I am short one heal potion or I need to get 10 xp to be able to level up between dragons two and three and I can take down Red, Green and Blue all at once. So I am a few weeks off from getting my dragons still. I can manage two but not the third, but if I don't get the third before my enhanced damage potion wears off then it will be a while before I get to it.
I'm super jealous of the dragon slayers! I still need to up my sword at least 2 levels (working on now) and get lots of XP points and a couple heal potions.Definitely a long ways away for me...

I did have to do some mad reading of short books to regain enough health to get the Red. I am exhausted!
Oddly in the end I did them in the complete opposite order to what I thought. started with the Blue then Green then Red, when I thought I would end with the Blue!
Whenever you do them, it is _very_ satisfying

The Orbs make all the difference in the game. When you can up your HP with EVERY battle, your healing recovery is super fast. Last weekend, I scored 7 exp and 7 HP just from painless attacks.

Yeah: that, and the Paper Civets is what prompted my dragon slaying, and the "start with Blue" approach.

Was planning on launching Treatment 2 tonight :P
So, I decided to let the green dragon go and attack the red with my lowly sword. It cost me an extra potion overall but now I have my Orb of Water and my Orb of Fire!!! Yay!!! I will battle the others when I have my horse ad health back :)
Thank you, Kelly, Zuzana, Catherine and Reva!! Red and Blue down and Green will be going down Tuesday!
It was so much fun planning and trying to figure out how to do it! I love the strategizing! (weird, it thinks that word is spelled wrong o.O)
Congratulations Teresa and Catherine. It's going to be a long while before I am dragon slaying myself, Rebecca. Perhaps by the time we get there, only the little runty dragons will be left and it won't be so hard...
NancyHelen, I took a quick peek and if you reassign books to up your sword, you only need one 500 page, three 600 page, two 700 page and one 800 page books to get your sword to level 8I can give you two 600 page books if you do so.
"May not be used for other purposes"Just double checking, this means whatever we claim for a book here cannot be used in any quests or weapon leveling, yes?

Yes. Though the return on xp is pretty good with Dr. Cottage :P
Everyone meet Knightly
Sadly the horse vendors were not very sanitary and he has caught the plague along with the rest of Novel Kingdom. Poor Knightly.
Yeah but I can't fall behind on quests with how fast they are expired so looks like I gotta sit this one out too. Darn.
Mary wrote: "We should claim the letters we'd like to cover here so we aren't duplicating would that be okay?"I'd post everything in Dr. Cottage's Cottage since there's less other text there.
1. Which date counts. The first announcement or each respective announcement? If so, it would be less confusing if you posted the effective dates with each new announcement. 2. Do we need to list the books in alphabetical order? Or can any order count?

1. Today's date 6/24/15. So the announcement of his need of various ingredients.

See my message in cottage.
Ugh I'm so tempted by the 2 exp per book, but I desperately need to upgrade my sword couple times and am trying to focus on getting those long books done.
RebeccaS wrote: "Ugh I'm so tempted by the 2 exp per book, but I desperately need to upgrade my sword couple times and am trying to focus on getting those long books done."Could always try for the hard letters for 3 xp :P
Mary wrote: "We should just post the alphabet and claim the spot that way less clutter that way"I Agree.
If you want to participate in the Plague Treatment # 2, be so kind and claim your spot: Copy the list and add your name and a date by which you can have your book read.
Unclaimed letters are free game for anyone.
To avoid any confusion, USE THE LIST POSTED IN DR. COTTAGE'S THREAD!!!
The first hero to post a book for a particular letter will gain 2 Experience. The letters J, K, Q, V, X, Y, Z will gain an additional Experience point.

Reva, am I allowed to reassign books? I thought that once I had assigned them, they were fixed in place? That would be great if I could move them around! I know I wasn't always strategic when I did assign them and I have been kicking myself.
Zuzana wrote: "NancyHelen, I belive that unless/until you claimed xp for your books you can shuffle them around."Oh, fabulous!! I'll head off and do that now...
Also, should we still be hunting civets as well as the alphabet task?
Another question - what is the ruling on Graphic novels such as
?I'm having to read it for a very specific challenge in another group which is hard because almost no other challenges accept them, but I couldn't find the ruling for this one...
You're welcome. :)Re graphic novels: It was asked before. I don't remember specifics but bottom line is that V for Vendetta is fine. :-)
