And yeah, the healing is a bummer. That's why I saved the Everybody lies quest till now. ;-) It will help a bit.

I shouldn't have counted the hat in the second attack -- but it didn't make any difference in the result. Attack corrected.

But Blending in hat doesn't bring any attack bonus at all. That's why I didn't buy one in the first place. It reduces the number of days between battles with common animals by one. I don't know about any other effect it has.
I know it doesn't make any difference in the overall battle result (since you'll manage to kill the dragon in two strokes anyway) but if there's an item that brings Ap bonus I'd like to know about it (so I can get it pronto myself).

You know I thought the same, but since nobody seemed to say anything I thought I just missed something. But I checked and you're right there's nothing that says that the hat gives extra attack power :(

Yeah, it's crazy how the game has become so complex and intricate. I love it. Kelly and Tea did a great job.
And don't worry, Reva. When first I drafted my dragon killing spreadsheets I had to correct them several times before I cought all of the mistakes (and I am not entirely sure that they're 100% right now).
CONGRATS, Sir Reva, the Dragonslayer. :)

Also, I see a couple of mistakes but this time you robbed yourself of several APs (Posion Potion takes effect at the beginning of monster's every turn). If you explain the health points I can rework the battle for you. :)
I get it that you either ate some health restoring meals (eggs or meatballs) or did the restive healing (spell-it-out) worth 6 HPs before the battle but those latter two points escape me.

I was under the impression that the poison only worked on the first strike not every hit.
Minor Poison Potion - Poisons the monster causing 2 amount of additional damage at the beginning of the turn.
If there's a problem using the 2 Heal Points mid battle, I can always sub a minor heal potion for 5 pts.

Reva, I think that the restive healing points can be used only in-between the battles. I'm almost sure that we discussed it in the original thread when people wanted to know what's the difference between restive healing and healing potions.
As for the Poison Potion, that's the way poison works in every decent RPG game. It steals a certain amount of points from the monster at the beginning of it's turn. Even with the wording as it is I think it can work either way. So as always when uncertain I say: Let's wait for Kelly to decide.

"The general healing can only be done outside of battle. Since you can't sit and rest during a battle :) "

Getting the extra 2 points for the poison potion would have netted me only 4 extra points -- not enough to finish any earlier.
Being able to use it throughout the battle would likely make a difference in longer battles.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to find the answer.

LOL! That's because your weapons' levels are so fricking high that you can kill even dragons in two strokes. XD For the rest of us peasants the dragon battles will last much longer. ;)
P.S. And there are times when 4 APs make a huge difference.

See -- it pays to level up. :-)
I could even successfully attack the BLUE DRAGON today. I'm debating. It will cost me 5 heal potions because my HP is 2, but I would level up to 9.
If I wait till I'm full strength, it will cost me only 3 Heal Potions.

Yeah I think I'll wait.

• Great Blue Dragon -. Both of your weapons have a tendency to hit a bit softer on this beast (half as hard if you want to know specifics). However, for each healing potion you use, the blue dragon loses 5 health points.

I would recommend people who haven't started or read a ton of series to definitely work on the staff.

Thanks guys. I figured that I'd just do 1 Green Dragon. Then I started to play with the attack scenarios and saw that blue and red were possible too.
The Heal Potions and Minor poison potions really helped.

Great Yellow Dragon - . Your one advantage is bat wings. Yes, bat wings. You can use 2 bat wings for a turn to fly up and meet the dragon on it's own turf and increase your attack power by 5!

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

So the great debate while you were gone was about whether Minor poison potion was only applied during the first strike, or whether it's effects were seen on every strike of the same battle.
I also wondered whether I needed to use 2 bats for each strike or did the first strike bats keep me aloft throughout the battle?

P.S. I thought it was quite clear that for the Yellow Dragon you need a fresh pair of Bat wings for every turn you attack.

So now I have to get more potions and heal up for the BIG ONE. Frankly, I thought that I was months away from even attempting any dragons. I didn't do any spreadsheets or pre-planning. -- just thought I'd try for the green and before I knew it--aaarrrgggghhhh 4 dragons down.
You know what they say. Walk softly and carry a BIG STAFF. LOL

I'm on my fourth ladder book and it is THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ IN MONTHS. I never would have found it if I hadn't gone like 12 pages back in a goodreads search for a book to fit this. Basically I'm completely in love with it and so now I have to forgive this quest for being the worst thing ever.
