And it makes you grateful that you were born in the right part of the world, somewhere where women aren't objects but subjects of the rights.

Man I haven't even started this series yet! I need to get one that. SO many books....

"
Sure :)

Or
Do we treat it like Saving Kitty? The alternate cover for book 1 becomes the primary for book two which then has an alternate cover to mate with book 3 etc

Good job. Call me nosey but a few suggestion might help...
Next horse then spend the time leveling up your staff. A guaranteed 3 exp per week when you can one shot rats goblins and bats will get your hero level up faster and save the HP for tougher monsters.
Try finding series with books 200 pages or less. You'd be amazed at how quickly you can level up.
Unless you happen to read a book which is just perfect for the house or kitchen, don't go out of your way to build these. I've yet to bother cooking anything. The Mods have made them an integral part of the game so they'll never expire -- well at least not for a year.
The Midas quests are likely to stay for a while -- its possible that they may never expire. As you know, GOLD is always good to have.
If you have the time, Ha Ha. do the quests that you like or the ones expiring soon.

Especially for someone (like me, hehe) who is has completed very few quests so far and therefore has a lot of choices on what to do next, I've found it easier to focus on a few at a time.
Right now I'm working on (in no particular order - they're all ongoing)
-getting a horse
-leveling up my sword
-three experience quests (The Queen's New Clothing - expiring soon!, Death's Requests, and Robbing Robin Hood)
-one potion quest (Everybody Lies)
Once I get some of those completed, I'll probably start a Midas Quest or two. I find this group really fun, but I'm not a fast reader, so I don't fly through tasks like some others do. There are a lot of things I would like to have, but until I can level up a bit and (as you mentioned) defeat more than just the rat in one shot, I figure it's best to keep my goals small. :)

I've got the house planned out but I'm not in a massive rush. Although it will get me exp. I don't pick books to read purely for their page counts though, I've got loads of series books to read and I don't read enough to make page counts my driving force when picking my next read.

#10 is "Read a book where someone takes or gives a bribe or where the main character is a thief." For a thief, does that have to be the characters occupation, so to speak, or is it enough if they just happen to steal something in the book?

The Queen's new Clothing
Death's Request
Spock guardians of forever
( I know 2 aren't on the list to expire yet but I'm having trouble finding books I'd like to read to fill them )

The Queen's new Clothing
Sticks and Stones may build a house
Spock guardians of forever
( I know 2 aren't on the list ..."
Don't waste your card on the house. It's not going anywhere.

It's ok if they're a non professional thief as it where :) Anyone who takes something that doesn't belong to them is a thief whether it's their profession or not.

1. Chose monster
2. You attack the health of the monster first with sword or staff. Eventually increase the level of one to be able to attack higher level monsters. You will need bones tails and wings drop bear meat for future quests. If you cannot kill the monster in the first strike it gets to attack your hero (it's attack against hero's health). As long as you have at least 1 Health Point, your hero can attack again.
3. Attack is successful when your attack exceeds the monsters health.
These were my first attacks:
Attack #1: 4/1/2015
✯Hero: Level 2 || Health: 12 || Sword: Level 3 || Staff: Level 3 || Exp: 5
Attack (3+ 2) = 5 (3 + 2 ) = 5
Attack Sewer Rat - 3 Attack Points, 5 Health Points - Reward: 1 XP
Attack with sword 5 -5 = 0 hp for rat. Result 1 exp pt. Last Killed: 4/ 1 / 2015, Available Next 11/ 1 / 2015
✯Hero: Level 2 || Health: 12 || Sword: Level 3 || Staff: Level 3 || Exp: 6
Attack #2 7/1/2015
✯Hero: Level 2 || Health: 12 || Sword: Level 3 || Staff: Level 3 || Exp: 14
Attack (3+ 2) = 5 (3 + 2 ) = 5
Attack Goblin 6 Attack Points 10 Health Points
Hero att. With staff 5-10= 5 hp
Goblin att. Hero 6-12= 6
hero att with sword 5-5 goblin 0
Reward: 1 Experience, 1 Goblin Bone Available Next 14/ 1 / 2015
✯Hero: Level 2 || Health: 6 || Sword: Level 3 || Staff: Level 3 || Exp: 15
Attack #3 11/1/2015
Hero: Level 3 || Health: 14 || Sword: Level 3 Att (3+ 2) = 5 || Staff: Level 4 att (4 + 2 ) = 6 || Exp: 17
Attack Sewer Rat - 3 Attack Points, 5 Health Points
Attack with staff 6 -5 = 0 hp for rat.
Reward 1 exp pt. Last Killed: 11/ 1 / 2015, Available Next 18/ 1 / 2015
Hero: Level 3 || Health: 14 || Sword: Level 3 Att (3+ 2) = 5 || Staff: Level 4 att (4 + 2 ) = 6 || Exp: 18
Attack #4 11/1/2015
Hero: Level 3 || Health: 14 || Sword: Level 3 Att (3+ 2) = 5 || Staff: Level 4 att (4 + 2 ) = 6 || Exp: 18
Sacrifice book: The Fiorenza Forced Marriage by Melanie Milburne 184 pages Read: 7/1/2015
Attack Goblin 6 Attack Points 10 Health Points
Hero att. With staff 6-10= Goblin 4 hp
Goblin att 6-14 = Hero 8
Hero attack with staff 6-4 goblin dead
Reward: 1 Experience, 1 Goblin Bone Available Next 18/ 1 / 2015
Hero: Level 3 || Health: 8 || Sword: Level 3 Att (3+ 2) = 5 || Staff: Level 4 att (4 + 2 ) = 6 || Exp: 19
I got my staff level up ( sword or staff up to you) so that eventually I could kill the monsters with one shot and no effect on health. Using extra sacrifice books let me accumulate exp pts faster. The exp pts. weren't so plentiful at the start of the game.
Hope this helps. Feel free to check my attack log Message 28 has the earlier attacks.

Thanks Reva. I greatly appreciate it :)

I revised a few things. So check again.

If so The Academy

And
Death's Request

I suspect that Tea and Kelly won't be around to answer or approve these requests until they get back.

I have another question. I feel like I'm lost with this. As I post the attacks do I deduct any #'s from my levels and can I attack more than 1 monster a day or each day (goblin and a sewer rat)?
Thanks for the help. I'm trying catch up because I haven't been paying attention and I've fallen behind

Your attack must reflect any lost HP AND the gained REWARD ie 1 EXP
I keep track of any changes in the status bar at the top of Message 1. I keep track of bones wings etc in my Inventory. I keep a summary of all attacks and a separate section just for the attacks themselves. Doing so keeps me organized since I have so much going on.
Rats, goblins bats and sewer rats "run away" so you can only attack them once per week (purchasing a Blending In hat lets you attack every 6 days)
You can sacrifice books to make extra attacks. I used to do this a lot because in the early days of the game there were not as many opportunities to earn experience points as there are six months later. I don't do it as much now.

Sorry I edited my first comment

It was asked before. I think that Kelly's reply was that apart from Heal Potions (all kinds) you can't combine or use at once the same kind of potion, i.e. you can use only one Minor Poison Potion or only one Damage Potion per battle.
You can use as many healing potions during combat as you like.
Reva wrote: "Does anyone remember whether there are any rules regarding stacking poisons and potions during attacks. Just trying to optimize an attack on the Green Dragon."
As I recall, stacking different potions / poisons is OK, but you don't get double effect with two of the same potion / poison.

I made spreadsheets of what stats and how many and which potions and what level of weapons I need to reach before I can kill the regular dragons. That's how much I love this challenge (read as that's how big of a dork I am). ;-)
P.S. If everything goes well I'll kill my first dragon (the Green one) in three weeks. Wish me luck.

I still need 3 books for the Green Dragon, 7 more for the Red one, and 5 more for the Yellow and Blue ones. it will take about a month and all of the regular dragons should be dead. *evil laugh*
