I'll say yes ..."
Yes that's fine to re-buy a book.
❀Tea❀ wrote: "Teresa wrote: "So regarding the tax levy... who is supposed to pay? the buyer or the seller?"After rereading what we wrote, seller pays taxes. We can make buyer too if you want for next one :)"
I think we'd just stick to seller since the limit is selling 5 books and 5 items and no limit on buying.
Reva wrote: "Ok. Don't mean to be a pest. Usually you've given us a sneak peek. Knowing what's going to expire could have an effect on what is bought and sold in May's caravan."It's ok. I'll try to have them out soon. It's just a bit crazy right now.
For the Death's Requests quest:• Read a book with a mainly green/yellow/purple cover for octarine sunglasses (1 item)
Does this mean the cover should have all these colors? Or be mainly one of these colors.
I think
might have all these colors on it.

I thought that it was one of the 3 not a combination of colors-- because of "mainly".
Reva wrote: "I thought that it was one of the 3 not a combination of colors-- because of "mainly". "Yep.
Reva wrote: "Re Hat hatDoes it give you 2 Drop Bear meat per successful battle?"
I don't think so. Drop Bear is common, but only specific number shows up, so I'd say that's timed.
Kelly, Tea, I have a question regarding the house quest:for "2) Make Foundation - Read a book about someone getting an education to build their foundation" will any book with school setting where MCs are students do, e.g. Harry Potter or Anne of Avonlea books or books featuring characters attending high school or college?
Zuzana wrote: "Kelly, Tea, I have a question regarding the house quest:for "2) Make Foundation - Read a book about someone getting an education to build their foundation" will any book with school setting where..."
Yes that's fine. As long as they actually attend a class :)
Zuzana wrote: "Great. It shouldn't be hard to find such a book then. :)"*snorts*
Yeah, right. :P
Actually I probably did read something, but forgot about it by the time I was updating challenge.
*mumbles to herself*
I really should start keeping notes

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
Anything involving training: swordplay, languages, magic, science, farming, horticulture...
I recently read a book about the MC learning viniculture
Oh, yeah, so any training will do. I interpreted the word "education" too strictly as an educational facility like school or college.
Zuzana wrote: "Oh, yeah, so any training will do. I interpreted the word "education" too strictly as an educational facility like school or college."Training or re-training. Someone seeking a new career. Lawyer to chef. Etc
Yeah, my bad. Sometimes I get fixed on the most obvious translation of the word and dismiss other meanings. "Education" - "vzdelani" in Czech usually involves an institution (school, training course and such). Now that I'm asking. How do you interpret: "read 2 books with something that can fly and 2 books with something very high on the cover."?
Does the flying thing/animal/person have to be on the cover or is it enough they're in the book? And what does "something very high on the cover" mean?
the title of the book seems quite high on the cover here:
or the pyramid or the hand on these covers?
I guess I should answer that one since it's my quest. For fly part - I'd say it's enough that's in the book. But please, don't use it if only mentioned. Like She watched pigeons through window. Have it at least little more. :)
Very high part - anything that's higher than human would count. Or think about it this way, high enough you'd think twice before jumping from. :)
So in your examples:
Heartless - high building on the cover
Timeless - pyramid counts
Thirty-Three Teeth - trees and mountains in the back
I think I have finally hit the quest that is going to beat me and break my streak of finishing them all :/ Ugh.

Oh sorry I was just whining lol I'm getting so frustrated with the build the ladder to kitty one. Because once you read a book, it's locked in, the next one HAS to match. So the wiggle room is almost non-existent. Not that I need to explain, I'm sure like literally everyone else has done it by now hahaEvery book I try is terrible so I have to replace it and rebuild the ladder. I have reworked my ladder at least 5 times and I'm just tired of it.
What about:Don't expect magic
Magic Hour
Our town
Own the wind. OR Owning Violet
Indigo Slam OR Let it bleed
I just started a "Magic" one now, "Magic Can Be Murder", and it seems like it will be good enough to finish, unlike the last few I tried.Murder I can fill with the 2nd in a series I like "Murder on a Bad Hair Day".
So I'll need a "Day" and then whatever comes next. The main problem being as usual I'm overbooking (ha. ha. pun) myself and trying to fill 10 other challenges besides just this one quest, so there's other restrictions and such on it. I will just be very happy when it's over lol
Thank you for the suggestions though. I'll keep that in mind in case this book falls through.
Kelly wrote: "Is anyone near finishing the available quests?"That's a resounding "heck no" from me.
Edit to add: I literally haven't even looked at some of them yet, that's how far "heck no" lol
Kelly wrote: "Is anyone near finishing the available quests?"I've a few to go but I also enjoy the challenge of planning for the new quests on those occasions when I don't feel like reading.
If you're tight for time, you could do what you did earlier in the year and split the month.
I have lots of quests I'm working on. I haven't even contemplated May's quests (other than the Midas ones)
Teresa wrote: "I have lots of quests I'm working on. I haven't even contemplated May's quests (other than the Midas ones)"No me neither. I need to get the house then the kitchen before I even get close! Arg so much to do!
I'm still working on the March and April quests so it's "heck no" for me too. I'd like to know what quests are going to expire in June though. I'm still holding onto three Extention cards and they have to be used by 31st of May.

You'd have to read the first book in the series first, but Days of Blood & Starlight is good for a "Day" book (I liked it, anyway)... And then "light" shouldn't be too difficult to continue the ladder with. Just a suggestion. :)
(This suggestion coming from someone who has only completed one quest... But I still find this game fun. Hehe.)
Kelly wrote: "Is anyone near finishing the available quests?"Kelly, I am so behind that if you didn't post any new quests for the next 3 months, I would still have enough to keep me going!! :)
Margaret wrote: "Kelly wrote: "Is anyone near finishing the available quests?"Kelly, I am so behind that if you didn't post any new quests for the next 3 months, I would still have enough to keep me going!! :)"
Don't worry :) Almost everyone's in that boat.
I just finished writing up June's updates so I just need to wait for Tea to review them and tell me I'm nuts :P So hopefully up tomorrow.
Kelly wrote: "Is anyone near finishing the available quests?"I wish. I keep being indecisive about whether I should use a book for a quest or to level up my sword. I've had to admit defeat and delete a few quests which I am not even going to get started on.
And yet, bizarrely, I still can't wait for the new quests?!
I'm nowhere near with the quests either. Each update there's some that I just disregard straight off the bat. Currently working on bunny, house, and levelling my staff, which is enough to keep me going for a while. At some point I'll go back and get the horse, going to use my timewalker for that if I need to.But like NancyHelen I love an update!
Zuzana wrote: "Now that I'm asking. How do you interpret: "read 2 books with something that can fly and 2 books with something very high on the cover."?"I've been planning my reading for this one too seeing as it's "my" quest so I feel I need to complete it.
I'm going for
(butterfly) and
(plane) for things that flyAnd I was going to go for
(eiffel tower) and
(bridge) for high up things, but it looks like my library has different covers for both those books so I might be back to the drawing board.I imagine with cover items we have to use the edition we actually read, and can't sub the most popular version in?
Zee wrote: "I imagine with cover items we have to use the edition we actually read, and can't sub the most popular version in? "That's how we do covers unless otherwise stated.
Here's another thing that flies
(kite) or if you like HP, most of them have something that flies on it.
OMG I can't believe it...I actually got my bunny! This was a quest I wasn't sure I'd ever finish.Meet Barley the Bunny!
