Ginger would be fine. I think any spice would count as a seasoning.

Anyone else having a dilemma over whether to go kill drop bears? At first I was like "woooo...more ways to gain hp!" then I did the maths and realised that I'd lose twice as much hp killing a drop bear than I'd gain back from eating a drop bear steak.

The best solution, in my mind, is to spend time raising your attack level of staff or sword to the point that you can kill in one shot. There is no fantastic benefit to drop bears given how much more you need to prepare -- 3 cooked steaks to the queen (involing Salt & Herb) plus 3 books for the rights to the recipe.

Work first on killing rats, goblins and bats for 3 free exp points per week without affecting your HP.

First take same ale and rat stew. They are delicious here.

Then create your own tracking thread (or I can do it for you if you give me a name). Check some other tracking to see how people do it. But you should set it up as you feel comfortable.
Read rules if you didn't already. And on Notice Board you'll find quests you need to solve.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Plenty of helpful heroes here to guide you through. :)

About quests, you can't work on expired ones. Pick one you like and think you can solve and work on them. You might try solving older ones first since they might expire soon (no, I still don't have information what's going to expire! That's just lucky guess ☺). Oh and you can still use all books you've read this year.


Oh, and you already have 3 exp and you haven't even started. By introducing yourself, you solved one quest already :)
