Let's say sundays since the bunny's on that schedule too.

I'll give you fish in a larger word as long as it still pertains to the actual fish. But not if it's a word like selfish.
No to the types of fish though.

Yeah, that's ok. We're using 50% unless otherwise stated.

Kelly, Tea, mods, would you add this to the squirrel description in the caravan thread so it's clear to everyone.
OK all you wrascely knights. Here's May.
Also squirrel has on Sunday added to the description.
Before anyone asks, nuts will be part of June's update and getting the squirrel now will allow you a headstart on the quest.

Just a quick question (or more aptly a plea). Could we have at least some XP for constructing the Kitchen? These big quests with no direct benefit are killing me.

- Is the kitchen required for cooking? I know that sounds kind of stupid to ask, but I just wanted to verify.
- Will the squirrel be available in June? Just to make sure. =p
Also, I love Men in Tights and that Questenomic ones is SO tricky.

I know they are killing me too. :)
Reason we don't have exp in those is that you have benefits from them later and repeatedly (think about horse & bunny)

- yes
- um, no idea. We keep telling you we have no idea what'll happen next month. :) I'd say probably since cat and hat are still here
What about gang quest? Sounds familiar? :)

Basically by doing this quest you get the recipe for the Drop bear Steaks, right?
If I'm right then shouldn't "- Deliver 3 Drop Bear Steaks to the castle" be Drop Bear meats then? Or am I wrong?

I get what you're saying but the example doesn't apply here. Bunny brings you 3 HP weekly and your horse brings you + 1 AP to both your weapons - those are direct benefits. As far as I can see the kitchen is only a prerequisite for other quests. It brings you nothing by itself.
If you want to compare it to another quest then you'd have to pick The House. And there were some XP points for building it. ;-)

I LOVE the gang quest! It's so much better than anything I could have come up with, haha. See? This is why I leave quest ideas to the pros. ;)

Angel the way I see it you have to make the 3 steaks according to the recipe:
So to fulfill the quest you have to
1/ build the Kitchen (for 10 books)
2/ kill 3 Bears to obtain 3 pieces of meat (1 appears every week, unless you have a weapon with 15 attack points, you'll lose the minimum of 24 HP for killing all three)
3/ obtain 3 servings of salt (Spice Exchange quest: 3 servings of salt for 4 books OR April caravan: 5 servings for 10 gold)
4/ obtain 3 sprigs of herbs (Picking Herbs quest - 3 sprigs of herbs for 4 books)
(2/ + 3/ + 4/ = 3 steaks you deliver to the queen)
5/ read a book with fruit on the cover
6/ read a book with a cake on the cover
7/ read a "silver book"
by fulfilling all these you get the recipe
Question 1: If I want to enjoy the 7 HP bonus myself does it mean that I have to gather all of the ingredients for the steak once again?
i.e. Killing one more bear, completing another Picking Herbs and Spice exchange quests (= 8 books) since I get only 3 of salt and herbs for doing one and I already used all of them (see 3/ and 4/) to make the steaks for the Queen
Question 2: Once I have the recipe, can I cook as many steaks for myself as I want? Or can I cook only one?

Well, it's far more easier to complete a couple of Midas quests and get Healing Potions.
1 Healing Potion costs 5 gold and it brings you 10 HP. You usually obtain 10 gold per 4 books. It means 10 HP (= 1 Healing Potion) for 2 books. It's a bargain. :)
EDIT: Supposed that you can cook as many steaks as you wish then I would recommend to do the Drop Bear Feast quest only if you
a/ already have a kitchen (i.e. you aren't as reluctant to spend 10 books on it as I am - I am such a miser) ;-)
b/ have a weapon with at least 15 AP (then you won't lose any HP when killing the bears) and
c/ for whatever reason you haven't stocked up on Healing Potions when you had a chance (the caravan sells them 5 gold a piece)
then you can cook 3 steaks for 8 books (cost of salt and herbs) and they will bring you total of 21 HP.
(just for the record 8 books = 2 midas quests completed = 20 gold = 4 Healing Potions = 40 HP). You do the math.

Must you be at level 8 before they appear or can you fight them below level 8?
How many are there? Do they just appear 1 / week?
If we want to kill more do we sacrifice a book?

I asked that one before and Kelly said you can kill them before LVL 8.
They are common monsters, they were added when all common monsters appeared once a week so the same applies to them. As with the rest I would say you have to sacrifice books if you want to kill more than 1 a week.

Tavern Games Quest, here is a list that might be useful :)
Nothing but Numbers

BTW did you buy in on the black market?"
Huh?
The market caravan is open isn't it?

But there is no evidence of sale :P
In another words, you didn't post in caravan you're buying it.

It's alright to not post it when buying/selling from the caravan. You'll obviously have to if buying and selling from other players.

I thought so. Thanks for clearing that up Kelly.

I actually just read a book on rabies. Has anyone else read Rabid: A Cultural History of the World's Most Diabolical Virus?

And for the Questanomics quest, do we have to go to the next highest number (i.e. 4->5) or can we jump numbers (i.e. 1 -> 3)?

In your instructions:
Read 3 inflationary books. Inflationary books have a "number" in the title. The number should be inflated to the next higher number as the series number. See link for examples of inflationary language.
Example:
For a Few Demons More - The Hollows #5 (four -> five)
Something Wonderful - Sequels #2 (one -> two)
Are we reading Something Wonderful or are we simply using it to generate Sequels #2 and reading Seqals only?

You are reading Something Wonderful.
Something Wonderful has word one in title and is second book in Sequels series. No need to read rest of the series (unless some other title works)

Going to say no for the kitchen. Kitchen should allow more battles to take place which should help xp. I'll take xp into consideration for next months quests though.

You cook the first three for the Queen and her guests to learn the recipe then you can make them for yourself forever.

Yes, you must gather the ingredients again. The herbs and salt are 3 servings per each quest. Or you can buy salt in the market at 5 servings.
And yes, you can cook as many steaks as you want for yourself.
The plan is to also let you sell the steaks (or meat) to others during the caravan events.
There will also be other recipes for the kitchen so those books are not exclusively spent for this quest.

Yup. Common monsters all have the same rules.

And for the Questanomics quest, do we have to go to the next highest number (i.e. 4->5) or can we jump numbers (i.e. 1 -> 3)?"
Has to be just next highest number. That's why the xp per book is so good for the quest because it's very specific.
