Just out of curiosity, will we ever be able to sell items in the caravan? If I had an excess of potions or I were to buy the cat familiar or the blending-in hat and they stopped being useful, could I at a later point sell them in the caravan?

Tia, that's exactly what I wanted to ask. If I buy a squirel can I sell the nuts I don't want to use for cooking myself? And what about the Goblin bones and Bat wings and other items we collect during the game?Personally I'm for free market, if there's a buyer willing to pay gold for the item why not sell it?
Right now my thoughts are that you'll probably be able to sell potions and cooking ingredients next caravan. There might be some limits imposed on some things.I don't think we'll allow selling of cats and hats and horses and those types of things. You may be able to liquidate them for gold but I wouldn't want those sold between players.
Also note that you can only have one cat. You can't buy multiple ones from the caravan or multiple ones from different caravans. Otherwise the bonus's get a bit ridiculous.
That makes sense to me, Kelly - I could understand not wanting a player to be able to skip an entire quest by just buying what they want in the caravan. It'd be awesome to sell some of the smaller things, though, such as potions, cooking ingredients, bat wings, etc. (though I'll likely hold on to most of mine just in case, haha).

Makes sense. And that's what I meant, for collectible things (nuts, bones, wings, eggs) to be allowed in the market.
Just for the record, I can't imagine selling my horse or my bunny. I love them both too much for that. :)

You just never know when fashion will change, though, so that's why I asked about the hat. ;)
If we could sell the nuts I'll probably try and finish 2 more Midas quests to get enough gold for the squirel.

I am selling all new component books to allow others to assemble their own horse or rabbit or complete any other quest in the game.

Don't worry Reva. I didn't think you were. I was just being clear when asked about selling things received through quests.

I know the feeling, haha. There's always that last minute scramble to get as much gold as you can before it leaves for another month. =p
I've finished my horse so exited! YEE HAWblack stallion white mane, tail and socks. (can't do pic) (sigh)
Baroque horse named Flash
New horses and bunnies are always welcomed around the tavern......unless they get into my beer, then there will be a fight. Congrats to Mary and Tia.
Wow, just dodged a bullet! I thought I was going to have to reread The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (I was not a fan) to sell at the caravan because it was the only book I had with 40 - 50 chapters, but I found Black Beauty buried on one of my shelves and it just meets the requirements at 49 chapters! I never read it as a child, so it will be nice to check this classic off my list.
I'd be fine with today, too, haha. It's my birthday and planning new quests sounds like a great gift if you ask me!
Probably tomorrow for the quest. Trying to get them all written now but Tea still will need to do her proofread after that.

Ok. I'll take the maybe as a yes.
Lol Kelly, I'm not sure. It depends on how willing you are to accept a bribe wherein you go to my finished quests log and only choose things that are there ;)
I'm just curious to see what the squirrel and nuts are for. If I don't get enough gold for a kitten, I may get a squirrel instead.
Agreed - I'm definitely waiting to see what the nuts and salt are for before I commit. I think Kelly mentioned that there will be alternate ways to get cooking ingredients, though. If that's the case (and it's not too hard to get them), I probably won't buy them. I'd rather save my gold for something I can't get in a quest.
