I hate to be a pain and bug you guys when you're already doing so much work, but do you think we'll be seeing May's quests before the caravan comes? The only reason I ask is because I'll likely buy books from the market to fill those quests if I can.

I don't know that you'll see them before the caravan comes but they'll show up at least during the caravan.
For anyone who read
do you know if there was an "invasion"? I'm having trouble finding a book to fit that~!

RebeccaS wrote: "For anyone who read

What genres do you prefer?
Ooh thanks for the link! I prefer most things other than romance. I'm hoping to accidentally stumble on one.
RebeccaS wrote: "Ooh thanks for the link! I prefer most things other than romance. I'm hoping to accidentally stumble on one."Maybe someone invade someone's heart? :P
oh, if you like fantasy Magician: Apprentice has an invasion. That's most of the books in one form or another. It's one of my favorite series and an easy read.
Here are some invasion books I've read:- The War of the Worlds
- Ender's Game
- The Forever War
- City of Illusions
- The Emperor's Edge
To be fair, the last four are more about preventing/stopping an invasion, so technically there's not a full-out invasion like in The War of the Worlds. Does that still work, Kelly?
Also, if anyone is looking for cat books, there's a Good Minds Suggest page here featuring six books about cats!
Tia wrote: "Here are some invasion books I've read:- The War of the Worlds

I think threat of invasion would count too. As long as that's the main purpose of the book.
If you like cozy mysteries you can try ‘Cat Who’ series by Lilian Jackson Braun for cats quest requirements. It's a series of 29 books.
Kelly wrote: "Tia wrote: "Here are some invasion books I've read:- The War of the Worlds

It is definitely the main focus, especially in the first three. Ender's Game and The Forever War are about defending Earth from an invasion, City of Illusion is about uprooting invaders that are already there, and The Emperor's Edge is about trying to prevent an assassination that would lead to an invasion.
I would like to verify whether anthologies count as books? I thought I read about it once but can't find the reference...
Lately I've read two good invasion books:The Day of the Triffids and Planet of Exile
both sci-fi classics
Angel wrote: "Everyone! say hello to my little bunny :) I finished the challenge this morning"
Lovely bunny, Angel. Congrats!
I finally got my bunny. His name is Fluffy. :)
And now after getting both a horse and a bunny I really need to focus more on XP gaining quests.
Man, all these bunnies lately - I'm so behind, haha. I think I'll have to focus my attention on that next week once I finished Death's Request today or tomorrow. Also, I'm so excited to read Planet of Exile! I ordered it a few days ago since my library didn't have it.
I hope you'll like it, Tia. Is it your first Hainish cycle book or are you familiar with the universe?I've read 5 Hainish books and so far The Left Hand of Darkness is my favourite .
I've read Rocannon's World and City of Illusion - I'm reading the whole series to level up my staff. I'm really excited to start The Left Hand of Darkness after I finish Planet of Exile!
Jacob Agat who is mentioned several times in City of Illusions as Ramarren's ancestor is the MC of Planet of exile. So now you'll get to know the history of Werel.
Thanks for mentioning this series! I see book one has an invasion :) I haven't been able to find an mm book that I want to read with an invasion so maybe I'll give this a try!
And Congrats Zuzana! I am envious of all these bunnies and horses! my reading has not been conducive to finishing quests in this challenge! I have too many other challenges going that aren't fitting!!(sorry for all the !!!!)
Teresa wrote: "I would like to verify whether anthologies count as books? I allowed people to use graphic novels so I don't feel like it's in much different of a category.
Ooh thanks for mentioning that series! My library doesn't have Rocannon's World (which I think is the first one?) so I'll have to look around for it.
RebeccaS wrote: "Ooh thanks for mentioning that series! My library doesn't have Rocannon's World (which I think is the first one?) so I'll have to look around for it."Rebecca, you don't have to start with Rocannon's World. The books don't have to be read in order of publication. There is usually no continuation of plot and/or characters from one book to another (except for books 2 and 3 - they are better read in order but it's not necesary).
Teresa wrote: "And Congrats Zuzana! I am envious of all these bunnies and horses! my reading has not been conducive to finishing quests in this challenge! I have too many other challenges going that aren't fittin..."Thanks for all the congrats.
@ Teresa: There are so many quests (Thanks to Kelly and Tea) that usually it's possible to use the books you normaly read and fit them to one quest or another. Be creative. :)
But it's true that bunny and some of the horse books you have to look for and "research" beforehand. These two were the hardest quests for me so far.
Zuzana wrote: "RebeccaS wrote: "Ooh thanks for mentioning that series! My library doesn't have Rocannon's World (which I think is the first one?) so I'll have to look around for it."Rebecca, you do..."
Oh awesome! Thanks! I know my library has some of the "later" ones in the series so I'll check one out.
RebeccaS wrote: "Zuzana wrote: "RebeccaS wrote: "Ooh thanks for mentioning that series! My library doesn't have Rocannon's World (which I think is the first one?) so I'll have to look around for it."..."
You know that you can request an inter library loan if your library system doesn't carry a particular book.
For those with the gold, I'll be offering a complete HORSE and a complete RABBIT in the upcoming market. The Midas quests are easier to read for than some of the other quests.
Zuzana wrote: "Teresa wrote: "And Congrats Zuzana! I am envious of all these bunnies and horses! my reading has not been conducive to finishing quests in this challenge! I'm sure I'll be able to use the books eventually but I haven't been able to focus on specific quests. I'm three books away from my horse...
Teresa wrote: "Zuzana wrote: "Teresa wrote: "And Congrats Zuzana! I am envious of all these bunnies and horses! my reading has not been conducive to finishing quests in this challenge! You can find a PDF version of Rocannon's World online - just Google "Rocannon's World PDF" and it should be on the first page. That's how I read it since most of the books pre-Left Hand of Darkness are hard to find. And I relate, Teresa - even trying to coordinate this and Wheel-a-Thon can be challenging!
Thanks Tia and Reva! I'll look into the ILL and if not I'll google it. It looks like a short book so hopefully I can read it on my computer.Man I was slaking and forgot about getting gold! I'm gonna have to hustle through.
Was there a decision about using the find items potion for Midas quests? That would be helpful since I need some quick gold ;)
RebeccaS wrote: "Thanks Tia and Reva! I'll look into the ILL and if not I'll google it. It looks like a short book so hopefully I can read it on my computer.Man I was slaking and forgot about getting gold! I'm go..."
Tea and I talked and we're going to say no on the Find Items Potion for the Midas quest. If you read through them they're not phrased in a way that you're finding items.
I'll make sure there's a find items quest in next months update.
Kelly, what about Time For the Dead and Find Items Potion? I don't see a reason why not use it for this quest but I'd rather ask.
Zuzana wrote: "I finally got my bunny. His name is Fluffy. :)And now after getting both a horse and a bunny I really need to focus more on XP gaining quests."
Congratulations ! very cute <3
Thanks, Angel. Are you ready to collect your first bunny egg tomorrow? I sure am going to eat mine straight away (I just hope that it's made of chocolate).
