I'm trying to come up with the zombie battle strategy and I have a question about the HP Bounce Potion (as of now it's the only way to beat those suckers).

If you use the HP Bounce potion and you end up with your HP higher than the maximum at the end of the battle does it automatically lower to your max or does it stay high until you deplete it in other battles?

e.g. your HP is 5/35, monster attacks you for 50 AP: 5-50= -45, you bounce to +45, in the next round you kill the monster. Does your HP lowers down to 35/35 or stays 45/35 for the moment (until you lose those HP in upcoming battles)?

That's fine. You can keep your HP above the max post battle.

Kelly, would you please look at these numbers? I calculated XP needed to upgrade heroes to another levels ages ago and now I'm not sure that I did it right.

LVL 12 - 1,530 XP - 32 HP
LVL 13 - 2,475 XP - 34 HP
LVL 14 - 4,005 XP - 36 HP
LVL 15 - 6,480 XP - 38 HP

Hey all! Now that the Cut Throat challenge has ended, I can catch up on this challenge! Are there any more quests or baddies coming?

It would be nice to have a couple of new quests and maybe some new timed monsters. What about something that is resistant to conventional weapons and has to be killed by using spells only?
Also some quests to do with Magik Book(s) or Kindlecorn meat? And what about a backroom quest? It's been ages since the last (and only) one.

Anyway I'd be happy with anything new created by Kelly and/or Tea.

Huh. I just finished the kitchen for my house and noticed that there's no exp involved. Every other part of building a house gives exp. Is this right?

I’m pretty sure the kitchen doesn’t give XP (although you’re right, it’s odd since most everything else does). But you need a kitchen first to get the kitchen upgrade which then gets you healing potions.. so it’s still worth it, imo.

Does anyone remember if there is a quest for books that have been adapted to movies? That would be good to have right now as there are SO many movies based on books this year.

I believe it was only one of the White Dragon mini-quests. You could exchange the book for another that was made into the same movie genre. Remember?

Ahhh yes I remember now. I knew there was something to do with books to movie, but not the details.

I’ve conquered the Crawler and Shambler. I’m also trying to up my sword some by “glueing” books together.

I could definitely think of some quest ideas if it’s helps get an update!

Sounds good, Rebecca. I'm working on my magic staff while gathering supplies for the zombie massacre.

Some tips for killing Zombies: Life spell + Kenny the Magician + shard + Greater Poison Potion + damage potion + pet plus potion to maximize your attack power and it's also great to alternate Bounce HP Potion and Shield Potion (it's actually less costly then using Stoneskin potions).

I'm glad I could help. :-) Don't forget to use the stunning collar (fir xou cat) in round one. And it's great to use red gem for one of your spell attacks (see in FAQ thread).

I have my Runner and Thriller Zombies battles pre-planned.

Hi girls! I'm a bit behind with my battles and had only defeated the Crawler so far.
I've been working on levelling up my sword too but it is taking me ages as I need big books and I'm not having much time to read these days :/ I don't know if I want to glue the ones I have though.

Is the market currently open for book requests? If so maybe I could try there to complete a couple quests.

Hi Sara! I believe that the market is open all year round. There used to be some time restrictions but I think they no longer apply.

If you're trying to off some zombies I'd definitely recommend Life spell. Better start growing your lemon tree. :-)

I'm already trained in the Life spell, just need a few more books to complete the Zombie quests actually.

Problem is the amount of ingredients needed to fight zombies with Life spells. Just imagine the number of rounds needed to kill the monster with 1000 hp. Yup learning the spells is the easy part. *sigh*

Yep, totally true!
I have almost 70 lemons as of now and stockpile them together with mystery books until I can go fighting. We'll definitely need quite some for those beasts ;)

Cat + stunning collar is a must. It's a free first round every two weeks. I've used it to kill Kindlecorns so far but it would be even more useful for bigger monsters.

Sara, I know I have about 60 lemons in my stock. :-D

I made some calculations and if you're realy effective in your zombie attacks you will need only about 22-25 lemons in total to kill all of them.

That sounds great! I guess I'll need a few more rounds than you as my AP is lower - and no Pet Plus Potion yet - but all the lemons we already have should be enough anyways :)

Question from this newcomer - How do we count pages for audiobooks? Is it from the default GR edition? I listen to a lot of audiobooks and would love to count them.

I am excited to get started on a few quests!

I always count mine from the default!

Not to my knowledge - I've used graphic novels.
100+pages is the only rule.

Yep it's the default GR pages for audiobooks. I looked and don't see anything excluding books, as long as they are over 100 pages.
