I've just checked, and I halved my staff attack (which included the orb and horse) but then added the potion onto the halved value. This was based on other people's battles at the time and the information I could find in the tavern. Doing this results in a very different AP - it would be 11 in Gareth's case. Which is right?
Zee, I believe that the first two blue dragon battles (Reva's and mine) were posted here for others to dissect. Everything except cat & minor poison was halved. Kelly found no fault in it.Morgan halved everything, too.
My reasoning: the potions enhance the weapons. the blue dragon makes your weapons to hit for half of their power. it makes sense that the damage & w.e. potions effects should be halved, too.
BTW if we had spells back then or if a new player decided to use spells against the blue dragon his/her attack power wouldn't be affected at all.
LOL! my advice for new players who have low lvl weapons would be to learn the Life spell asap. They could use it against big monsters and get huge AP otherwise unatainable so early in the game.Life spell - base value = 20, combined with damage potion = 23 AP. Against dragons that have around 40 - 60 HP?
I don't remember because it was so long ago now but I can't have been the only one to work it out like that as I've never attacked anything without reading at least one other battle first.
That's why I said earlier to Gavin he should wait for Kelly. She's the boss. In Kelly's absence maybe Tea could decide...There's always possibility that somebody asked about the potions in Blue Dragon battle later and I missed it because I have already killed the dragon and didn't pay attention. But I tried to go through the thread around the time of first BD battles and I found no question of the kind.

Problem is that rules 'change' as things go. Even we don't remember what was said back then and there is possibility that if you ask now, you'll get different answer.I know that when Kelly was giving examples (in other monsters) she would use levels or base attack power.
But in this case, if majority of older players halfed everything (potions and pets, and such) and posted here without Kelly's comment, then we should keep it that way.
It wouldn't be fair that 'newbies' have it easier :)
Btw, that you. I went to see what I did in that fight and discovered I was reading wrong 'description' for dragon fight and didn't half anything. All fixed now :)

That's what I was thinking going through some of the earliest dragon battles posted here back in 2015. I believe that hydra battles changed interpretation of some of the rules & we did some of the things differently before hydra came along.

I didn't halve my Damage potion, which isn't particular to a weapon. But halved my orb. I didn't have a pet at the time.
I've always eaten eggs during battles. Since the Drop Bear Steaks and Mouse Meatballs specify that they can only be eaten at rest, but the bunny egg doesn't, I think we can eat them during battle. I just saw you made comment about classifieds. This isn't same thing from my point of view, but still if you both use it for same task, that would kinda count using duplicated book for same thing. Or it wouldn't?

The description says :
• Duplication Potion - Allows duplication of one book currently held or in use by your hero. Duplicated books may be used for the same quest or activity or used in a new one. Books that have already been applied to an activity or quest may be duplicated.
So I should be ok if you don't think it is the same as Classifieds?
Can I ask when the monthly classifieds are usually posted?

Quick question:When using a Minor Poison Potion against Rock, is only the Rock I'm currently fighting poisoned, or does it Posion all of them? Also, do potions that last one battle work until every rock is dead or until the one I used it on is dead?
They last only one battle, Gavin. Minor poison, too. It poisons only one of the rocks. wep, damage & pet plus potion's efect lasts a week
minor poison and growing strength one battle
& shield potion one round only.

I'm planning an attack and I have a doubt about Hydra Lust. When it says that its Attack is our Weapon Level without modifiers, does the +2 count as a modifier?
I have a question about The Power of BlueCan the characters be actually the SAME character from book to book? Like if I read a series and just connect Henry (book 1) to Henry (book 2).
If not, can I link series books if there is a book in between?

Hm...
I'm not sure it would work since you are linking different character between books 2 & 3.
Unless you are having couple of characters with same name I don't see how you can use series one after another.
You could use series if you have book between, but that book needs to have two characters with 'same' name so you could again match another book in series from first one.
Using your example:
Henry (book 1) --> James Henry (book 2)
Now you need different character from book 2 to match with book 3...
Michael Henry (book 2) --> Henry (book 3)
another character from book 3...
Mary (book 3) --> Mary Alice (book 4)
and so on....
Edit:
In theory you could use series in order but using multiple characters and switching between them...
For example
Harry (book 1) --> Harry (book 2) - Hermione (book 2) --> Hermione (book 3) - Harry (book3) --> Harry (book 4) - Hermione (book 4) --> ....
or you can switch between different character going through all books :) (Harry-->Harry/Hermione-->Hermione/Ron-->Ron/Draco-->Draco/Snape-->...)

magic staff: 5+2= 7
orb: 7+3= 10
damage potion: 10+3= 13
enhanced weapon potion: 13+3= 16.
I'm sorry but your AP is 16 (not 19).
16/2= 8, your AP for the blue dragon battle is 8 AP.
