Question:
<-- would you say that was gold or yellow? Thinking for alchemy quest or planning ahead for marigold part of March quests. Thanks!

Looks peach to me.

might be good starting places for gold covers.
Can someone just take a peek and make sure I'm on the right track? Thanks in advance!https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Looks good to me. I didn't check every detail but I didn't see anything wrong when I skimmed it. You're also welcome to browse other people's logs to see how they're doing challenges and what books they've done.

Thanks so much, Kelly!

Just a suggestion, it pays to be patient. You might want to save your books and allocate them to your best advantage. Why waste a 400+ page book on level one? There are many books less than 200 pages out there. And like Kelly says. Feel free to see what others are doing. None of us mind.
Thanks, Reva! I will take a look around a little more :-) most of my books are 300+ pages, but I will definitely consider saving my bigger books.
With the task in The Academy where you need to get a recommendation, or read one of them already given, can you read a book which has been recommended to someone else? Or does it have to have been recommended to you specifically?
❀Tea❀ wrote: "It can be recommended to someone else. It just needs to be found in that folder."Thanks Tea!
Also, Sir Nancy of the Helen, master Code Breaker, upon breaking Ser Amanda's code, has discovered that Ser Amanda's mysterious note writer ain't that good at spelling...
Re Everybody lies quest - Treatment 2: For a crush book can I use this listopia list: Fictional Crushes? The books there are much better than on the other list and selected by more people.EDIT: Never mind, I found a couple of decent books on page 4 of the original list.

Yeah I have more bright yellow/orangish (gold) ones. Not a problem. :)
I was just like iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.....don't know how strict that rule is over all three tasks asking for yellow/gold covers.
*Rosella enters and looks around.* This looks like a good place to get a feel for this country. What should I order?
*looks up to see who entered*You new here? I can see it in your eyes. Still have that hopeful look....
*kicks a chair beside her and nods to Rosella to sit down*
I'd recommend rat stew. I heard they just got fresh meat.
*Rosella sits in the offered chair.*Then I'll have some rat stew. Those rats can be nasty things. I killed one of them on my way over here.
Ale, Meade and some mystery drink they use to fill the wine skins. Depends on how much you like to gamble.
My daughter was in the hospital this month so I've fallen way behind Please tell me there will be a way I can make up for this month other than the potion. wondering if I should give up
Mary wrote: "My daughter was in the hospital this month so I've fallen way behind Please tell me there will be a way I can make up for this month other than the potion. wondering if I should give up"Sorry to hear about your daughter, Mary. I hope she feels better.
As for the game, it shouldn't matter. It's a single-player. You go at your own pace. You pick which quests suit you the best. You can skip a whole month if you feel like it.
This is an "everyone gets a trophy" games, it is just for fun and comradery. Never give up Mary! And sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope all has turned out well.
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, Mary. I can't imagine how stressful and hard of a month you've had. But I agree with the others, there's really no falling behind because everyone is going at their own pace. Just pick back up where you left off and keep going!Other than two very early quests, everything is still available so you really haven't missed out at all. I hope you keep at it!
Oh no :( I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. But don't worry about trying to catch up. Everyone gets there their own way and their own pace.
I'm leaving quests up for 2 or more months typically and even if you don't complete them you either get partial credit or can reclaim books that you didn't get anything for. So you can just choose whatever is up that you'd like to work on the most.
I'm also ok with people using their NBRC extension gift card for a quest as well.
Tea's made comments that there may be ones coming after that through different means :) But the free 3 have to be used by then.
O.K. I wonder which quests will expire in April. You wouldn't happen to know, Kelly? *smiles innocently*
Zuzana wrote: "O.K. I wonder which quests will expire in April. You wouldn't happen to know, Kelly? *smiles innocently*"So far, I found out what's expiring when she posted quests here. So I guess it's spur of the moment decision :P
My bet is something from February :)
Thanks, Tea. I better get that Timewalking potion, complete the toy for Hadley and gather all the bones in March then. ;-)
About gift card, in case it's unclear. You need to start using it by May 31. That means if you say on that day you are using GC, you still get one month from last day of challenge.Example if you use it on 5/31 for quest ending on 6/15, you can finish that quest by 7/15
I have a feeling I made it even more complicated now :P
Zuzana wrote: "O.K. I wonder which quests will expire in April. You wouldn't happen to know, Kelly? *smiles innocently*"Heh no idea. Tea pleads with me right before each time I decide. It's usually a last minute thing. I suspect the last January quest will be expiring then plus 1 or 2 from Feb.
Anyone know of a good way to find books for the Fairy Odd Path? I'm having the darndest time with that.
Tory wrote: "Anyone know of a good way to find books for the Fairy Odd Path? I'm having the darndest time with that."I have a shelf full of the next books in all the series Im reading. So I just went through each series, clicking to the full series list on goodreads and looked for any in between books in those. A lot of series have them so it wasn't hard to find a few once I went through.
^ Yeah, that was the really hard part. I found at least 10 before I found a few that would meet the page requirement. It seems like prequels are usually pretty long but these little in between stories are rarely more than 80 so that made it kind of...grrrr inducing. Just for reference, in case you happen to be reading these series Tory or end up desperate, here are my three:
For those that like books of a romance/mature adult content type nature I think most of these are over 100 pages.https://www.goodreads.com/series/1177...
Otherwise, I'd look for story collections.
Zuzana wrote: "The catch is that most of the in-between books have less than required 100 pages."*whispers so Kelly doesn't hear*
Try switching editions :) Maybe you find one that is over
