Feel better Kelly! Finally in Florida...though all my stuff is in the garage, so hopefully finish moving it all inside and get back to helping chip away at the dragon this weekend/next week.
I'm doing better, just catching up on all the stuff I've been behind on.I've been playing World of Final Fantasy so I have some fun new idea's to try here.

Yay Florida! Is it nice and warm?
haha. It's not too bad today, of course, since I unloaded everything yesterday! :P Now just the fun of figuring out where it's all going to go and looking for a pharmacy that wants to get me my FL license. ;)
What part of Florida did you end up in Morgan? It's been super warm and nice over here in Tampa bay :)
North of Jacksonville. :) It was a little cooler today, but still not exactly "cool". Luckily everything heavy is upstairs now and everything else is in the garage so now it's just organizing and figuring out where to put things. Which is fun in some ways.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you're feeling better, Kelly!
I'm about four weeks into this RPG, and am working on earning a horse. What other objects/quests do you think are good?
I'm relatively new as well and I've found there are a lot of different directions you can go.I recommend to level up your staff (or sword, but I think staff is easier) as much as possible.
After getting my horse (on my last book!), I plan on working on building my house, which you can then upgrade to get weekly healing and potions). The puppy can also be good, but it's a lot of books you need to read before they can start being useful.
I'm also considering working on learning some spells, but I think I will leave those for a while.
It's really up to you, but I'm trying to get the items to continue to help you each week or battle, rather than one-time use items.
Kelly- is there possibly a chance that we will eventually see a quest(s?) for armor? Currently I think all we have as an option is the shield, which for a lot of us is going to be very hard to get, killing all the boss monsters for the gems. Is there a way we could get armor that would function similarly to rocky the rock, starting at just preventing 1 attack damage, and possibly eventually upgrades-able into preventing more with additional quests, that would just be quest based? Even if they were very long and required lots of books, that would be more to speed for some of us as an option to the shield.

Maybe I'll make that the reward for my brainchild that I have brewing right now.

Does anyone know when the November Classified are going to be posted? I'm itching to get some more Gold.

Definitely the bunny and the horse!

Man I've been really bad at keeping up with this lately. I have a whole plan to prepare to battle all these huge monsters and I made a list of books to read that will fit. But for some reason I'm in a weird reading slump and I have no motivation to read those books. So instead I've been reading random books (and slowly). Also this time of year is always crazy and I am finding no time to read, aside from my commute. We've been busy almost every day after work and I can't remember the last weekend I've been home to relax. What do you guys do to get out of a slump?? Ugh I just wanna defeat these monsters. I'm literally watching other people enjoy their books at the park or on the bus and I'm just so jealous haha.
When I can't find any motivation to read a new book, I always re-read one of my favorite books. :) That way, I am always sure to enjoy it and it motivates me to read more!!RebeccaS wrote: "Man I've been really bad at keeping up with this lately. Ahh such a great idea Caroline! Thanks. I think I know exactly which one I want to re-read, so I'll try that.

So I'm basically scrapping the rest of my plan and just focusing on scrounger items. I basically just need a ton of healing potions and some weapons potions to get myself ready.
I figure you can always adapt a new plan! Just read whatever books you're motivated to read and you know they're bound to fit into your quest somewhere, even if it wasn't the original item/quest you wanted to be working on. I'm currently "in process" like 6 different tasks and I keep rearranging books as I go to make it all work some how.

Oh, right, my mistake! *wink*
I have been away for ages, but I finally gathered enough energy to try and get back into this. I finished the Quick! Lies! challenge and would like to share my story...You stumble up to the gates of the nearest town desperate for a nice cozy, rat infested room at the inn. The guards stop you and ask for your reasons for visiting. Not willing to spout your real reasons, you quickly spin a tale explaining the purpose of your visit.
Well, you see now. I ran into some Boyfriends with Girlfriends a little further up the road, and they seemed especially Spell Bound with each other. I stood there, just watching them for a moment, drawn in by their genuine feelings of love. They were all Wickedly Charming! Then one of them did something, I honestly couldn't repeat it here, it was One Weird Trick... Anyway, I got so scared and I realized More than Two might be just a bit too much for me. I guess you could say I am seeking asylum!
Hi Tati and welcome :)*passes ale*
If you look at monsters, you'll see that they drop some stuff beside exp, gold or potions. In your case if you kill bat, you'll get bat wings. So to solve that part of the quest, you need to battle some monsters :)
It took me a while to figure out Emerge, to be honest. It was all so new to me!*keeps drinking ale, is now getting tipsy*
*shakes head* You shouldn't be drinking this early in the day. Especially if you didn't eat anything before. Have some stew with it *passes bowl of rat stew*I know what you mean about needing to figure out. I helped Kelly with this one and I still have trouble figuring some stuff out (I have no idea how to battle some of those bigger monsters). But it's fun. :)
It also helps to sneak into threads of other heroes to see how they are handling things.
Or ask here if you get stuck :)
*protests that she did have breakfast today* thanks for the stew! *gobbles it down*Oh yes, it's fun! I'm still at that overwhelmed stage, but one quest at a time!

I love it :)
Alyssa wrote: "When are we expecting another update? Beginning of December?"Yeah probably. These past two months really knocked me out as far as being busy was concerned. I should have time to get an update written over the holiday.
Any requests? I could probably pull off the custom spawned monsters that we had talked about awhile back if that's the top request.
That'll be awesome! I almost forgot about those. and the one I had for some kind of armor or something to help with defense :)
Ahh yes. I remember what I was going to do for that one. Ok. Maybe I'll start setting up both of those and get a few month chain of build up going.Plus I needed a more advanced zombie killing spell.
Maybe also something to help with the Eisdrake battles? More potions or weapons damage or maybe Eisdrake coupons that can be used like the potion tokens but only for Eisdrake battles?
I'd love the spawned monsters, I've run out of uncommon ones to battle between the big fights and it's always nice whacking a beastie that drops something useful!
