Anyone else having healing problems or need just those few things in order to attack Kats. How about shaing problems/needs. If we work together perhaps we can accelerate moving to the next step of the event.
Thanks Reva!! I'll take it, so that means I only need to read 4 more books (2 minor heal potions) before Wednesday so I can attack that Merely Kat instead of waiting 2 weeks. I'll be away this weekend, but I'm going to look for my shortest possible books and try and get them all done. Here goes nothing. :)

I'll still be out of gold, but as of Wednesday I'll have 2 potion tokens in case anyone has books for the Kitchen they'd be willing to trade.

The right 4 books gets you 10 gold in Midas quests = 3 minor heal potions.
Scrounger items are a better deal Have you exhausted your lists?

Not that I can get an MK till 1 Jun now, so I'm done on the armour assistance till then!
Rations are a complete arse for me: I now have a kitchen, but need to acquire all the other elements, including cooking about a million drop bear meats before I can help there. And I have no nuts either. So any rations contributions from me are a way off yet.
Reinforcements are pretty easy, so I can happily trundle on delivering them every 4 days.

I believe that the ugly hat hat doesn't work on Merely Kats, only Common monsters.

I've almost got Cooper trained to Tracking level 1, then and I've got about a quarter of Tracking 2 lined up. I'm not sure how the battle is going to go quite yet, as I'm not a very high level. I'll need to up my staff to have an easier time battling those Merely Kats. I'm pretty close to having the Bunny for a bit of healing.I'm almost done my house, and then will get to work on my kitchen. When I figure out specific needs I'll post them and see what we can work out, though I'm a pretty down on my luck adventurer at the moment.
I am 4 books away from attacking a merely kat. I'm reading a glove on the cover book and hopefuly I'll finish it today. Then I'll need a search and rescue dog book. Kelly, could you please answer my question about that ? - it's several posts back.
Finally I need two books to get a healing potion and then I'm ready to go.
Daphne, I think it's a little bit of both. Shields had the best reward AND the easiest requirements: every other book title starts with "the" and fits one line on the cover.

Both Reva and Morgan are willing to donate their eggs next week (correct me if I'm wrong). I only need one, so you can have the other if it helps at all!
Thank you Rebecca. :-) But it won't make any difference for me. I'll need to heal during the battle and eggs can be consume outside of combat only.
I'm one book away from completing my bunny, so I can't help with eggs.I was so getting geared up to totally finish my shield and gem activations before this month, now I'm so torn lol.
This is such a cool event. It's fun seeing us have to work together. I can't wait to see what next step is. :)

Does a dress designer (creates (invents) and sews (builds)) count for both:BAUBLE7 Matter - a book with an inventor.
BAUBLE8 Screw - someone builds something physical.
I also have 3 Mouse Meatballs cooked up to go with Cadbury's egg if someone just needs a heal between battles to prep for, or eat after a merely kat fight. ;) Had to stick with my "try to finish kitchen upgrade this week" goal.

I've collected 5 minor heal potions so far. It's amazing how quickly they add up. ;-)

Not Kelly, just trying to help out while she's busy, but I'd say if the work was talked about multiple times in the book it would count. If they just say "this is my dog Buster and he was a search and rescue dog" then no. But if Kelly comes around she can override me on that.
Ok, I finally had a chance to check out how I could help and the two books I had in my tote which weren't earmarked for quests I used for sword supplies, and the book I'm currently reading will work for reinforcements when I finish it. It's not much but it's a start!
Thanks, Karsyn. I searched the book for "search and rescue dog" originally, but now I skimmed it I found out that there's a part with the dog still on active duty. So the book should be o.k.It's A Dog's Purpose if you were wondering.

Not sure why a kitchen is required for Rations. All of the items needed can be acquired without a kitchen.

She can't make it too easy. :) I thought more people had kitchens than what have been participating, but not everyone has come around. I thought it'd just take the 4 days, maybe 8 days max to get everything together.
I like it, I just wish I had joined much sooner than 2 months ago. :D
I think it requires a kitchen because you're putting together the ingredients to make the Ration. So you can't "cook" without the kitchen.I've been moving books around and have 1 book to finish the Beginning Tracking now. Then will start working on Intermediate so I can help with the Merely Kats!

I think this is the push to get the kitchen. I never really saw the incentive before (before Kitchen Two that is), but now I see I need to buck up and get it so I can help the group.

This is my FAVORITE challenge anywhere on GR hands down.

Some clever person needs to sit down and work out better recipes.
When we didn't have scrounger lists and Jack and Jill's Store was only open 1/month, you had to really plan your battle needs and buy the potions/items you needed to last the month.
If you miscalculated, the kitchen at least gave you mouse balls and bear steaks that you could cook up for extra healing.
With the store open 24/7, the kitchen becomes less useful. Now having KITCHEN-TWO makes things more interesting.

Oh, I don't think this is going anywhere! Kelly loves it and so does Tea. So even if Kelly got burnt out I'm sure Tea would take over and if both of them did, I'd be willing to give a shot at it, though I'm no where as near created as Kelly is.
I'm sure it'll be around, in some form, for quite a long time! :D

haha. I don't know what I would have done last time I moved without audiobooks while I packed everything up! It's now habit to listen when I clean or cook to pass the time. Though I didn't listen during the actual moving day since my dad, my best friend and his wife were there to help. ;)

I was confused for a moment as why reinforcements was going to be so difficult... turns out that I've spent the week convinced that we only had to supply 20 of those.
It's 50.
If you excuse me, I need to go on an epic quest to find books that start with R or with bridges/buildings in the cover or title.

It's the "every four days" slowing things up. Otherwise we'd go much faster.
This is an awesome event and I wish I could help more but I have just a few books in my tote and I already decided to reserve them for upgrading my sword. Also, I don't seem to have much time to read these days so I'm sorry but I fear I won't be able to contribute much for this part of the event :(

I suppose I could help more if I pulled all the books I've allocated to quests (that aren't complete/turned in yet), but... why? It took time to find books that fit those quests. Is there any reason to rush through gathering supplies?
Some kind of bonus for finishing in X amount of time?
If not, no rush, right?

We did finish shields though, so yay! All the potion tokens are gone. Is that why everyone finished those so early, or was it the ease of the book tasks?
