So would I read a book that's just in a series and number doesn't matter or should I go with a non-series book?
Thanks Zuzana. I'm always open to better ways on doing things.
Does anyone know if it's possible to search our own thread?
I'm positive that I read a book recently with citrine in it but the overall search showed nothing.
I tried google books but only got gemology books and this was a Romance. I once was able to search a word once I was in a google book search but couldn't get it to work this time.
Help, please.
I have a problem with the randomizer. The books it is generating for me don't work with the task. They have no genres, no ratings, no blurb, no reviews, nothing to go on as to what kind of book it maybe. The first one was foreign language. The second was called Hey Dad, You're Great and I did it a third as I decided the first didn't count and got Women of Valor: Polish Resisters to the Third Reich, which at least has ratings and things, but I have no idea what genre to put it at but I can guarantee you I don't read that genre :/Can I randomize again? please???
Nope, no way to search just one thread. I sure wish there was! You definitely haven't used the word citrine, at least not since the first of the year. What I do if I'm looking for something specific I (or someone else) said is this ~Put the word you want to search for ------> over there in the search box, in this case citrine. Then when it pulls up all the pages, I do a find search (ctrl F) for my (or the other person's) name. So like for citrine, I searched that then ctrl F your name and beyond your last post, you haven't written it in a post.
Now, if you do spoilers at all, it doesn't search within the spoiler.

Since it doesn't have one listed, you could go with either. Lots and lots of books available if you used those. :)
I hope that helps!

No problem, Reva. :) I know that a stray point here and there doesn't matter to you but to some of others including me it makes a difference. Might mean a heal potion saved for another battle or sometimes a whole round of battle that saves a load of our hero's HPs.
re CITRINE: I used google and I came up with this:
search term: "citrine site:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/..."
This should be the book you're looking for: Tycoon's Delicious Debt (Mills & Boon M&B)
On google.com simply add “site:html of your thread” (or whichever site you want to search) after your search term, and you’ll get all the instances of that term on that particular site.

What I don't do is read erotica, so I'm kind of stuck with Kili's quest. We could trade books? You read an erotica for my quest and I could knock out a history for you? Is that even allowed? We could always sell them to each other when the market opens up if you wanted. :)
Let me know if that might work for you.

Sounds like a perfect solution to me.
For The Kitchen That Cleans Itself1 Cook 5 things in your kitchen (after 4/1/16)
Since it doesn't ask us to present the balls, does it mean that the mouse balls are available in our inventory to use in battles?
Thanks for your help. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Too busy sorting through my totes, building KITCHENTWO. Its an awesome feature.

Would you please post the exact Amazon link for best sellers 2001. I'm just getting a generic link and can't find it. Thanks.Re KitchenTwo. Are we collecting potions every Sunday or is it one week from the time we complete the quest?
Zuzana wrote: "No update to Jack and Jill's caravan hill or Merek's mercenaries this month?"Nothing this month. There was a suggestion from the other mod's on a mercenary but I don't know how to make it work yet so it's delayed until I figure it out :)

Hmmm.... Let's make it Sunday so it doesn't confuse people. Easier if it's always a static date.
And my own kitchen remodel still isn't done *sighs*. But we have floors and most of our cabinets now.

That would be awesome!! I could definitely work with that :)
Congrats on the Rare Binding battle Reva! Don't know how I missed that before. That new Kitchen update is awesome! Thank you Kelly! Looks like I have to work on the basic one now...
Cathy wrote: "Yep, extra incentive to finally finish my house. then my kitchen..."Same here. I love anything with a cooking element, but a potion that gives at least 5 HP a week is a huge incentive, along with the recipes.
Kelly wrote: "Heh. Well you guys kept wanting kitchen to be useful.... :P"You totally made it worth it now :) The pic is great!!
Ok. I've finished my KITCHENTWO. Since we're collecting potions on Sundays can I start tomorrow or do I need to wait a week til the 10th?
Kelly wrote: "Nothing this month. There was a suggestion from the other mod's on a mercenary but I don't know how to make it work yet so it's delayed until I figure it out :) "O.K., thanks. It's not like I don't have a ton on unfinished quests to work on. :)
I'll be looking forward to the new mercenary next month. Could you give us a hint, who it might be? Is it someone famous? Do we know him/her?
BTW That picture is awesome, Kelly.
There are several quests you need to finish first before you can enjoy your first home-made potion. It can be confusing. So I thought that making a to-do list for the new players who'd like to build a new improved potion making kitchen would be helpful.WHAT QUESTS to finish to get a shiny LVL 2 KITCHEN:
1/ Sticks and Stones may Build a House
Cost: 10 books
Reward: 7 XP and a house of your choosing
2/ Kitchen
Cost: 10 books
Reward: a LVL 1 kitchen
3/ now you have LVL 1 Kitchen you may start cooking meals. You'll need (at least) 5 in order to level up your Kitchen.
You have 2 options, either Drop Bear Steaks (see 3a) or Mouse Meatballs (see 3 b). To obtain recepies/ ingredients you have to finish other quests.
3a/ Drop Bear Feast
Cost: 3 books + 3 Drop Bear Steaks (see bellow)
Reward: Drop Bear Steak Recipe (A Drop Bear Steak restores 7 HP)
to cook the 3 required steaks for the Queen's party you have to shop for ingredients:
Spice Exchange - Repeatable Quest
Cost: 4 books
Reward: 3 servings of salt
Picking Herbs - Repeatable Quest
Cost: 4 books
Reward: 3 servings of herbs
Kill 3 Drop Bears (8 Attack, 15 Health, appears weekly)
Reward: 3 Drop Bear Meats + 3 x 1 XP
Now you have the recipe you need to cook 5 Steaks for yourself. (you'll need them in step 4 to level up your Kitchen).
To do that you'll have to obtain 5 servings of salt, 5 servings of herbs and 5 drop bear meats.
2 x Spice Exchange - Repeatable Quest
Cost: 8 books
Reward: 6 servings of salt
2 x Picking Herbs - Repeatable Quest
Cost: 8 books
Reward: 6 servings of herbs
Kill 5 Drop Bears (8 Attack, 15 Health, appears weekly)
Reward: 5 Drop Bear Meats + 5 x 1 XP
Now you have 5 Drop Bear Steaks that equal 5 x 7 HP = 35 HP (deduct any HPs lost when battling Drop Bears), and 1 serving of salt and 1 serving of herbs left for next cooking.
3b/ Here Birdy Birdy
Cost: 10 books
Reward: a baby falcon (that will bring you 1 Mouse Meat a week) + a Mouse Meatball Recipe (A Mouse Meatball restores 3 HP)
Now you have the recipe you need to cook 5 Meatballs for yourself. (you'll need them in step 4 to level up your Kitchen).
To do that you'll have to obtain 5 servings of salt and 5 mouse meats.
2 x Spice Exchange - Repeatable Quest
Cost: 8 books
Reward: 6 servings of salt
5 Mouse meats
Cost: no books, no battles, your baby falcon will bring you the meat, it will take him 5 weeks to bring all five of them
Now you have 5 Mouse Meatballs that equal 5 x 3 HP = 15 HP, and 1 serving of salt left for next cooking.
4/ The Kitchen That Cleans Itself
Cost: 8 books (+ you have to cook 5 meals for yourself - see above)
Reward: 5 XP and a LVL 2 kitchen
LVL 2 Kitchen comes complete with a sink unit that drips health potion. Wait one week to harvest a Minor Heal Potion, two weeks to harvest a Heal Potion and three weeks to harvest a Greater Heal Potion.
TOTAL COST (option a): 55 books + 8 drop bear meats
TOTAL COST (option b): 46 books + 5 mouse meats
You may somewhat reduce your costs by obtaining The Orb of Air by killing the Great Yellow Dragon - you'll get salt and herbs cheaper (3 servings for 3 books).
Thanks. After the update I was like great, finally an incentive to work on the kitchen. And then I thought how complicated and confusing it must be especially for the new players to sort out all that has to be done to get to the goal of a shiny LVL 2 kitchen. I hope that the break-down helps them a bit.
Yea I didn't realize how much work it would be until it was laid out like that. But in the end it will totally be worth it!
Great break down Zuzana! The only other consideration is the number of HP each treat provides. Kelly said we still get to use the HP from our cooking so .... drop bear steaks provide 7 : 7x5=35 HPmousemeat balls provide 3 : 5x3=15HP
However, if you can't one-hit the drop bears, they cost you HP to add into the equation.

I got a physical copy from my library and it looks more like a wash out red than pink. But it's o.k., I'll found another red book - lots of red covers on my bookshelves.

Logophilic Lemur is a Common monster. I went by the logic that when I kill one it drops one coin. It never ocurred to me it might be wrong.

Great update as usual. Love the Spring Forth from Randomness quest - 3 potions for 5 books? Much better ratio than the scrounger list!
No update to Jack and Jill's caravan hill or Merek's mercenaries this month?
