Hi everybody!
Time for our nominations!

Can you think of a theme for our December group reading? There are some quite obvious choices, but any idea is welcome, even a 'free' pick! Plus, you may just pick a work by an author whose month of birth was December - here's a spreadsheet that might guide your choice.

Waiting for your replies!

Carlton | 93 comments As an author with a December birthday, I suggest Alfred Bester’s The Stars my Destination, which was published as Tiger! Tiger! in Britain.
Alternatively, I will be very happy to (re)read Dickens’ seasonal A Christmas Carol.

Bryan--The Bee’s Knees (theindefatigablebertmcguinn) | 141 comments I'll have to wait till I get home in a few days--my work computer can't access the spreadsheet.

For another December birthday author, I nominate O Pioneers! by Willa Cather, 159 pages.

message 5: by Jane (new)

Jane Huttner | 157 comments I suggest as December authors, either:
Bill Bryson--A Walk in the Woods,
or Arthur C. Clarke--Childhood's End.

Actually I've just spotted Flatland on my bookshelf, whose author, Abbott, was born in December, and I'd like it to be put among our possible reads.
