That was a great idea. Thanks!

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments I just finished By Book or By Crook, but nothing jumps out to me as a good match but as I continue to read the articles, maybe something will come up.

There is at least one prompt about books I think

message 54: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments The article titled "Iconic New York Bookstore" would work.

message 55: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments I finished my book last night and added to the spreadsheet. Not sure what to read next.

Robin P | 4003 comments Mod
I won't have much if any time to read today.

message 57: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments My time the next few days will be limited also.

message 58: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments I've finished First Love, which really only fits Promt 23 about otters because it's a love story. How does that get entered into the spreadsheet?

message 59: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments I plan to get in a lot of audiobook time tomorrow, I'm off work and my family is going snowboarding so I'll have the house to myself. I have some cleaning and errands, hence the audio. I do plan to do some physical reading too.

message 60: by Errlee (new)

Errlee | 183 comments I finished Earthlings by by Sayaka Murata. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend it - I liked Convenience Store Woman a lot, but this one was really disturbing I thought and just too out there for my tastes.

Still not sure where to slot it in. There is an article with the word Earth in it but that might be stretching it. In terms of themes, really not much uplifting - child abuse, sexual abuse, cannibalism, murder, alienation, mental illness, thinking you're an alien? Hmmm ...

message 61: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments I'm listeniing to We Are Okay while I cook. It fits #45, "Conversion Therapy as Destructive. Also it's Own Voices.

message 62: by Kellie Lyn (new)

Kellie Lyn | 211 comments Finally finished Déjà Dead. I put it in the #21 spot. It connected to Numbers, Theme, and Setting. Moving on to finish The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency then on to Life As We Knew It or Every Last One.

message 63: by Kim (new)

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments I'm reading The Bookstore which is about a bookstore in NYC, a perfect match for the "Iconic New York Bookstore."

I think we have to ask Emily to add another space for it because I already put one book on that prompt.

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) | 11196 comments Mod
Added lines for 23, 41, and 43!

message 66: by Kendra (new)

Kendra | 2105 comments I just finished Hot Winter Nights which is a silly Christmas romance, but it has the mc getting a chance to move beyond the receptionist job and be a full time investigator so I used it for the Germany Gender Equality headline.

message 67: by Kim (new)

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments Just finished The Bookstore which was just meh, but fit so well for the Strand prompt.

message 68: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments Emily, can I please have another line under Man Found (#49). Thank you

message 69: by Errlee (new)

Errlee | 183 comments I feel like I am not contributing much this go around. I still haven't figured out a place for Earthlings and not sure about the other books I am reading either (assuming I even get one finished before the end). I am finding this challenge, umm, challenging.

message 70: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments Yeah, I kind of agree. I think the spirit of the theme is fantastic but a little hard to implement in practice.

Robin P | 4003 comments Mod
I wasn’t able to get any reading in yesterday but will have a little time today

message 72: by Kendra (new)

Kendra | 2105 comments I finished Blood Bound last night, but I'm at a loss for where to put it.

message 73: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments I would out Earthlings in the Vermont one for mountains

message 74: by Nancy (last edited Nov 26, 2020 10:43AM) (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments Emily can you add a row for 49 please?

I'm reading Don't Look for Me and don't really have a place for it either.

I got an hour of audio in during my turkey trot this morning but likely won't get any other reading done today. Happy Thanksgiving to our American teammates!

message 75: by Emily, Conterminous Mod (new)

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) | 11196 comments Mod
Alicia, I added a row for 49. Nancy, did you want me to add another one (so there would be three for the #49 article)?

message 76: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments Yes please, the book I just finished is set in Alaska.

message 77: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments Thank you for Alaska, I also need another line for the space one #37 please

message 78: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments Happy Thanksgiving!

Didn't get much reading done yesterday or today. Hope to get in a couple hours tonight though.

Robin P | 4003 comments Mod
I finished a book that I can use for #50.

message 82: by Emily, Conterminous Mod (new)

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) | 11196 comments Mod
You now have two blank lines for 37!

message 83: by Errlee (new)

Errlee | 183 comments Alicia wrote: "I would out Earthlings in the Vermont one for mountains"

Done! Thanks for the suggestion.

message 84: by Kellie Lyn (new)

Kellie Lyn | 211 comments Happy Holidays!
Our internet has been out this week so it has been difficult to log in to our team page and update. I have finished The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and I put in the #38 (theme and setting). I also finished A Call for Kelp. This is one is on #12 (theme and name). I am starting Every Last One. I am not sure where to put this but will find somewhere as I start reading this afternoon.

That is a problem when you don't have internet during a readathon! I see you are reading a book by Anna Quindlen and I just read a different one. Every Last One is distinctive, I'll just say that. A lot of it is about family so there should be some category that works for that.

message 86: by Kim (new)

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments Away for the holiday and finding it difficult to update on my mobile device. Will be home tomorrow and catch things up, Just finished a great book, The Tuscan Child, and look forward to finding a spot for it on the spreadsheet.

message 87: by Kathy (last edited Nov 29, 2020 10:27AM) (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments I'm working on the book Weather, which fits the nature theme of #24 about woodpeckers making a comeback. Also listening to Christmas on the Island, but not sure where it fits.

Edit: Changed to 18 about conservation of rain forest. Lots of information about climate change in book.

Not sure how much more I can contribute. Tied up till Sunday night

message 89: by Kendra (last edited Nov 28, 2020 11:32PM) (new)

Kendra | 2105 comments Emily, could I please have an extra spot for #6, #14, #16, and #23.

message 90: by Alicia (last edited Nov 29, 2020 08:03AM) (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments I'm glad we have 17 wildcards. That can take care of the articles we haven't covered. Do we have until tomorrow (Monday) to fill in what we read today (Sunday)?

message 91: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments That sounds good.

I should finish one more book today, but haven't yet looked where it can go.

message 92: by Nancy (last edited Nov 29, 2020 08:59AM) (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments I finished Don't Look For Me by Wendy Walker but I also have no idea where it could go. Yay for the wildcards!

Edit: I put it for #46, it's a bit of a stretch but it works.

message 93: by Kathy (last edited Nov 29, 2020 10:29AM) (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments I finished Weather by Jenny Offill and added to #18 about conservation of the Amazon rainforest. Weather was a lot about climate change.

Hope to finish my audiobook yet today.

message 94: by Kim (new)

Kim (kmyers) | 539 comments Almost done with Ready Player Two, but I see someone else has it slotted on the Planning Tab. What happens if two people read the same book? There's only one article that I can find (video gaming) that I can see to slot it.

message 95: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments Kim, If the person isn't done reading it yet, you can add it for #25 video gaming. If they finish the book, they can request another line for #25 so their book counts for points also.

message 96: by Kathy Jo (new)

Kathy Jo (kjsotr) | 304 comments I finished my book and updated the spreadsheet. Finished 5 books- making November one of my best reading months this year. I just have one more book to finish for ATY is year!

message 97: by Kathy (new)

Kathy E | 3326 comments Congratulations, Kathy Jo!

I've finished my audiobook also and have updated the spreadsheet.

message 98: by Nancy (last edited Nov 29, 2020 01:31PM) (new)

Nancy (fancynancyt) | 1842 comments I had put Ready Player Two in that slot in the planning tab but I am not going to read it, so feel free to put it in when you're done. I went ahead and deleted it from my column.

message 99: by Alicia (new)

Alicia Ellsworth (sanukipityreads) | 135 comments I couldn't figure anywhere else to put the book I just finished so can I please have another line for item 19 (the stars)

message 100: by Kathy (new)
