Niyah (curlynerd) | 40 comments I just finished the book this morning and I have been crying for the last ten minutes. I am the kind of person my friends and family make fun of for not crying, so the fact that I not only cried, but I am still a little choked up about it- it says a lot about how good this book is. I loved the characters and the plot and the flashbacks. I found myself laughing throughout as well as holding back tears. This book definitely gets a 5-star rating from me and is one of the best books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I am so glad I joined this group and decided to start reading the monthly recommendations. I just loved this book so much and can't stop thinking about it.

Cassie | 370 comments I adored this book. I attempted to read it probably 2 years ago but it ended up on my DNF list. A friend wanted to read it together this past year and I pushed through.

I am SO glad I did! I laughed and cried throughout the story. It's definitely one that stuck with me! I have yet to read a Backman book that I didn't like yet...

Milly | 1 comments I read this book before they announced it for 2020 December Group read and I was really excited for everyone. This book was really hard for me cause every time I picked it up I cried. However it’s prolly my favorite book I read this year :(( will totally read more of this author now !

Holly (lerxst-ohio) It started off a bit...how shall I describe it? Annoying maybe... I was like...OMG this guy! Then, here and there, it started getting better. Before I knew it, I was laughing out loud and really enjoying the book. By the end, I just loved Ove! Definitely worth the read!

shi ❦ (bloomingsouls) | 38 comments This was definitely one of my 2020 favourites, I really enjoyed this. I loved the humour, and I loved the story. It was just amazing, from the very beginning until the very end!

Wim (wimver) This book was a great discovery to me. In the end it read like a fairy tale, When finishing it reminds me at times of ‘a Christmas carol’

Ushmi | 2 comments I just finished this book. Normally it took me maximum two days to finish a book. But this type of book i never read so when you guys suggested it i thought why not! It took me full month to finish the book. But I'm here trying to be honest after page 200 it was smooth reading for me. Plot was different. Story was great. Maybe it's not my typical type but sometimes change is good. Thanks for suggestion. I'm looking forward to read with you guys.

Alyana | 1201 comments This book is definitely one of my 2020 favorites. It's funny and heartwarming which I think is what we need in this pandemic. I will continue reading books of Backman in 2021.
