Reading is my way of escaping the real world, and it's been more than necessary these last several months. My favorite genre is Romance, and with so many subgenres to choose from, I can almost always find a book to fit my mood.
This is a one-book task. Your book must have a main page genre (MPG) of Romance. The genre can be standalone or embedded. MPG such as Historical Romance, Futuristic Romance, and Science Fiction Romance would work, too.
Required: State which option you chose when posting.
Option 1: More than ever I've been looking for books in the romantic comedy subgenre, and I love when I find an author who can make me laugh out loud.
Read a book with a title of at least 3 words where the first letter of each word can be found in the phrase I NEED TO LAUGH. Letters may only be used as often as they are found in the target phrase. All words count, but you can ignore subtitles. Remember: Your book must have the MPG Romance.
Option 2: On the opposite spectrum, sometimes we need a good cry about something other than our own troubles, and a tear jerker romance can be just the thing.
Read a book from one of the following lists:
Tear-Jerker: Romance Novels that Jerked the Tears Right Out of Ya
You Broke My Heart With Your Words
Best Gay Tear Jerker with a Happy Ending
Required: State which list your book was found on, and what page of that list.
Option 3: Historical Romance is a good way to escape to an earlier time (and also to remind us that things weren't always better in the old days!) My favorite Historical Romance author is Lisa Kleypas, although there are many others I also enjoy.
Read a book by a single author whose first and last initials can be found in LISA KLEYPAS. Letters can only be used as often as they are found in the target name (and middle initials can be ignored.) Remember: Your book must have the MPG Romance.
Option 4: Finally, to really escape reality, a Romance with a subgenre of Paranormal or Science Fiction can let you step out of our world for a little bit. There is nothing like a wolf shifter or alien to help you forget what's going on around you!
Read a book with a main page genre (MPG) of Paranormal or Science Fiction. Note: Your book must also contain an MPG of Romance.
