I own the Classics Club edition of William Bradford's The History of Plymouth Plantation (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) and when I searched (result is the link in this message), I noticed it has an ISBN, however, it was published in 1948, before ISBNs existed. Moreover, when I search online, I find that ISBN leads to a paperback version of the book published by a different publisher, in the cases it leads anywhere (WorldCat found nothing). What is the accepted practice in this situation?

Update to add the listed ISBN is 9781406755800.
