alden and della were described as the cutest couple evergood thing your book doesn't really matter in the actual series then

Ok, so Alden isn't like, an "evil" character
but there are subtle actions that iff me
Like sending his six year old son to the Forbidden Cities?
Using his 'position' as Keefe's father figure to manipulate him?
Drugging Sophie even though he KNOWS that she has trauma with sedatives?
And then there's withholding information- like sophie's human family
and wayyyyy back, there was him asking sophie to go to exile with him, even though she's way too young for that- and he know that. He literally encourages her to have 'normal teenage experiences'
I don't think sending her into the world's biggest prison was a "normal teenage experience".
there's more but that's all i can think of off the top of my head

No she doesn't. Lemon was absoluetly correct about all of those. Alden absolutely did manipulate Keefe, he told him to just let Fitz have Sophie, blah blah blah. Because it would make Fitz upset if Sophie chose Keefe. Keefe thought of Alden as a father figure, Alden expolited that.
Wow guys calm down. The reason some of you have read it and others haven't is because it only comes it certain versions of the book.
