Lucy and Sean decide to split up with her going with Ann to search for Micah and him staying behind with Jeff. Did that feel wrong at the time? Did they have an alternative?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments Yes, it felt wrong for them to split up. I didn't see a good alternative.

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments I agree with Charlene. I didn't want to see them split up, especially since Lucy and Sean only had one gun between them. I thought maybe Sean and Lucy should hike back to their vehicle to call the authorities, but Sean was concerned about the kid being outside on a cold night. There didn't seem to be another alternative.

It felt all kinds of wrong because I was so suspicious of these two and Sean needed to stay with Lucy. They should have been more forceful about them searching as a group and if Jeff still stayed back, so be it.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments It didn't seem to fit with the Sean we know from the previous books. I thought that they would develop another plan.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments The split up and search felt all wrong. I thought Sean and Lucy should have stayed together and gone back to their car. Getting help in a situation like this is the most important thing. There were no good alternatives, but both Sean and Lucy felt something off and should have followed their instincts.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments It did feel wrong, but it was the better choice at the time. They were suspicion of the two, but there didn't seem to be much of a threat at the time.
I agree, Sharon. Sean really let Lucy do her own thing in this story and it was very much off from how he usually is.
