Author Merge Question

Innocent Veniaminov does not appear on the covers.IMO the correct profile should be Innocent of Alaska, sorted on Innocent.
ETA According to OrthodoxWiki, his name is St. Innocent, né Ivan Evseyevich Popov-Veniaminov. Since Veniaminov is from before he became a saint, his name would either be a form of Ivan Evseyevich Popov-Veniaminov, if he published before he became a saint, or Innocent of Alaska, if he published afterwards.

You may be correct... Innocent is a monastic name that predates his death. It was his name at time of writing. He's be referred to as St. Innocent (Veniaminov) for the sake of distinction from other "St. Innocents" or St. Innocent of Alaska (the latter is what appears on the cover, as you note).
This is why I brought up the example of how John Chrysostom (also an Orthodox saint) has been handled. Another example is Ignatius Brianchaninov. Since "of Alaska" is kind of a localization title, I wasn't sure how it fit into the guidelines given in the manual.
Edit: Author-merges are really not my wheelhouse, I'm hesitant to step one way or the other, frankly, but I don't want to leave them floating separate, either.
But Chrystostom is a nickname, not his actual name. And there was a thread about John of the Cross/Juan de la Cruz recently. We tend to go by what is the name most commonly used (minus titles such as St.), so I believe it should be Innocent of Alaska.
I will be happy to merge the profiles, if we can agree on the name.

No worries :)I merged the profiles into St. Innocent of Alaska and removed the St. from the author name: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
Has anyone ever asked to have M L Longworth as author deleted since her books are fully represented under M. L. Longworth with the periods after first and middle name representations.

I have submitted a request to GR support to combine the 2 author names, as librarians cannot edit GR author profiles.

Librarians cannot merge authors when one of them is a Goodreads Author. Since the unclaimed profile has a follower, the profiles should be merged by staff, IF you are sure all books on the unclaimed profile are by the Goodreads Author. (And if they are, there is no need for the Goodreads Author to have been given the 2-space profile).

My inclination--based on the librarian manual and following the example of John Chrysostom--is that the latter two should be merged to the Innocent Veniaminov profile. Is that correct? Thanks.
