Michael Murray (michael_murray_83) | 4 comments Hello,

I manually added my book to Goodreads today (Nobody Left Out - Jesus Meets the Messes, ASIN: B08MY583G8) but it was added under a different Michael Murray's author page. Can it be added to mine?

Thanks!

Suzi | 8661 comments You don't have an author profile. I will work on this and get back to you.

Suzi | 8661 comments 1. I moved these books to a unique author profile.

2. You have a user profile. You can claim this by going to the author profile page here: Michael Murray

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There are already multiple authors with the same name.

4. Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces before the author's last name.

5. This author profile has 4 spaces: Michael^^^^Murray, where the ^ equals a space.

6. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake" between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile. Often when users add works, they may not be familiar with the number of spaces that this profile uses, so may only use the default spacing, as you did, but that is easy for a librarian to correct.

7. You can post in this forum to have it moved as you have done, or you can add the book with the 4 spaces between your first and last name before publication.

8. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 4 spaces.

9. I also added the cover to your book as well.
