I went for Cemetery Boys, by Aidan Thomas. I'm not the target audience, but it was a nominee for the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book this year. Very well written, and I was fascinated by the culture of the brujx in LA. Just not quite my cup of tea.

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 3839 comments I was really struggling with which book to read for this prompt until a library hold came in yesterday, about 3 months earlier than I expected! I'm reading The Boys : A Memoir of Hollywood and Family by Ron and Clint Howard.

message 58: by Marie (new)

Marie | 1060 comments I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

I would have guessed I didn't read many books with this title format, but looking at my Read list to find recommendations I have quite a lot.

I'd definitely recommend the book I chose, and also Interview with the Vampire, The Martian, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I Am the Messenger, Daughter of Smoke and Bone and My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece.

message 59: by Joanne (new)

Joanne | 477 comments I read The Lost Apothecary which I originally picked up for being published in 2021 but realized it fit this prompt as well.

I enjoyed my experience reading the book and it was pretty fast-paced and entertaining, but I was hoping for a little more substance. The cover was absolutely gorgeous though.

The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

message 60: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Anderson (miss5elements) | 331 comments I read LATE! A Timebender's guide to why we are late and how we can change. I originally planned to read Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, but I found Late! on a whim & saw that it fits. Who are Timebenders?

I surprisingly have read a lot of titles with this format. My favorites are: My Sister, the Serial Killer, The Book of Unknown Americans, Invisible Man, The Vanishing Half, and The Kite Runner
