I've always been a keen reader and probably read a lot of things that were above my age bracket (that maybe I wasn't ready for) but it's all good. Many people don't write books in their 20s because most people are too busy living their lives or figuring out what to do with their lives then. Unless they have a claim to fame and have been successful in whatever chosen field.
I have just read a few early Lucy Knisley books that she wrote and drew in her 20s and they seem a bit naive and totally self-absorbed to me!

I haven't read that book you mentioned, but I don't think there is just one type of memoir that people like to read. I am more of a biography reader as a rule after reading my dad's memoir, although I read a few memoirs.
Hello Allister! Not sure why I did not see your post until now. Maybe because you posted under 'challenges'. Anyway, I like all types of memoir, biography and autobiography. Tell us more about your book.

STUCK!
I'm currently reading "Didn't See That Coming", by Rachel Hollis and leaves me to believe that this is what people want to read. Yeah, I get people want not to be alone in situations, but what happened?
Reason for this post, is simply this... I feel that I've lost touch with not only myself, but with what people want to read about. I've tried reaching out to others on different platforms, and get either the cold shoulder or told off by someone who appears to have little experience. I figure I would reach out here.
Thank you for you time in reading this, looking forward to the replies.
