Abigail walked over to the gathered campers. She chose a chair and sat down, then pulled out her book and started to readSam walked over to the group of campers and winced 'So many people.' he thought anxiously. He chose a chair near the back and sat down
Ashley looked up as campers began to arrive. 'I wonder which one of these campers will be in my cabin.' she thought as more campers arrived
Mrs. Thelma entered the fire ring to prepare for the opening campfire. After the horrible events of the previous night, she was hoping this would brighten everyone's spirits and bring the camp together for some fun. She had with her a few helpers, who headed over to start the fire. A table was set up off to the side with graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and wooden skewers. Mrs. Thelma breathed in the cool night air. Campers and counselors would be arriving soon, to find out cabin arrangements and for smores. The sun was slowly setting and it would soon be dark.
Isla walks to the Campfire waiting for everyone to arrive, she was bored and had a book in her hands reading about something that sounded like greek mythology. She was wearing a black jacket and ripped jeans, and her hair was down blowing around her shoulders
Bailee arrived soon after, watching Isla, she kept her distance watching the sun and all its glory. She was wearing a blue sweatshirt and ripped jeans

Lochlyn ran in breathless. "I heard the announcement." He said, breathing inbetween words. He really didn't want to be late. Then he saw Mrs. Thelmas facial expression. "S-Sorry won't disrupt." He sat down, waiting for the others.
Ally could smell the campfire before seeing it. He jogs toward it eagerly. Last night hadn't given him a lot of time to meet any new campers so Ally hoped to make up for it tonight. Ally was dressed casually in jeans and an orange sweatshirt.
Isla looked up at Lochlyn and smiled, then she continued to read.
Bailee was standing next to Mrs. Thelma, she had always been like a mother to her.
Bailee was standing next to Mrs. Thelma, she had always been like a mother to her.
Bailee turned around, " Oh hey Vales! How are you doing?" She asked, she hugged her sister and smiled
Bailee laughed, " That cool, I havent had much of anything to do " She said, she smirked at her older and a little bit taller sister
Mrs. Thelma smiled at the campers coming in. One of her assistants came running up with the finalized cabin list. They had gone with animal names this year for each cabin. She thanks the kind boy who had passed out smore sticks to everyone, then heads up near the platform behind the campfire. The fire was not roaring, and dark was coming quickly.
Lochlyn looked into the fire. It was small, and reminded him of the smell of sanded wood. He wore a loose grey T-shirt and jeans, his black hair windswept and slightly messy. With no friends or people next to him, he was able to concentrate hard on the campfire. "Its actually really pretty...." He thought.
Isla watched everyone from far away taking in a few everyone's minds reading and processing what they were thinking.
Bailee asked if she could help with anything to Mrs. Thelma
Bailee asked if she could help with anything to Mrs. Thelma
Abigail sighed and closed her book. 'Why is it so cold?' she wondered. She moved up to a seat closed to the fire and pulled on her hoodie. 'I should have worn leggings.' she thought regretfully, still shivering
Isla looked into Lochlyn's mind and smiled
Mrs. Thelma thanked Bailee and asked if she wanted to help the newer, younger campers with their smores, or if she would rather help with cabin announcements. She appreciated any help, since not all of her counselors and workers had shown up yet for the summer. Mrs. Thelma pulled her hair back into a tight bun, then cupped her hands around her mouth to make a quick announcement.
"Campers, if you have long hair, please make sure it is pulled back somehow! We don't want hair hanging over the fire," she said.

Bailee pulled her hair up and so did Isla, sighing. Bailee walked around asking anyone if they needed help.

And I don't want to have to heal any burn marks tonight!" then he laughs and grabs a roasting stick with three marshmellows.
Mabel walked up to the campfire. She had stopped by the showers quickly to rinse off and change, and was now wearing dark blue jeans, brown hiking boots, and a cropped yellow hoodie. Her hair was in a messy bun on top of her head and still slightly wet. She got her smore stuff and went to one of the empty seats close to the fire.
Gracie wrote: "Nina looked at Abigail and went over to her. “I think that i have a seat next to me, if you’d like to sit beside me. She pulled them back for a moment and put up her long hair in a ponytail.
((Too bad Apple can't come here, dang you plot twists!))
Lochlyn twirled his s'more skewer and looked around. He didn't know hardly anyone in the crowd. He looked forward again, except this time he looked at Mrs. Thelma, waiting for her to start.

Mrs. Thelma looks around, silently counting the campers and counselors present. There were still a lot missing, but she didn't want to be here all night. She wanted to give everyone time to settle into their cabins, meet their cabinmates, and make it feel like home.
"We will be announcing cabins shortly. While you are waiting, feel free to have some smores and make some new friends. If you see someone sitting alone, go on over and introduce yourself," she said to everyone gathered.

Abigail grabbed her smores skewer and held the marshmallow over the fire. "It's been ok, I guess." she said, casting wistful looks at the apple tree path behind her. "Kinda stressful though."Sam sat alone in back, as far away from the fire and other campers as possible. 'This is stupid.' he thought in annoyance, but stayed in his chair
Ashley looked around, trying to spot a camper she could go up to. She couldn't see anyone, so she stood up and began to walk between the chairs, saying hello to the campers

Lochlyn immedietly perked up. "S'mores . . ." he thought. It had been years since he had one. He walked up to the table which had marshmellows and stuck two on his skewer, snagging two graham crackers and a chocolate as well. He went over to the fire and started cooking them.
Once again Ally had to pick a spot to sit. There was a place by a black-haired guy so that's where Ally sat. "Hey," he says and pops a marshmallow in his mouth. Ally says"Howmurmumf" while chewing.((It's lochlyn XD sorry for Ally's horrible eating habits))

Mabel stuck her smore stick out over the fire. She looked around and realized she barely knew anyone here. Usually she was very friendly but tonight she felt shy, and it bothered her. She sighed and leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees.

((Hey everyone! Do you all want to have cabin announcements right now, or draw this out a little bit longer and allow for more chatting before cabins?))
Lochlyn stuck the marshmellows he had in the hottest place he saw. Next thing he knew, his marshmellows were completely on fire and blackened. He blew the fire off and smooshed the now blackened-with-small-white-spots marshmellows on the graham cracker, placed a chocolate, and another graham cracker in that order. He ate the plain marshmellow first and the sweetness suprised him, (he doesn't eat too much sweets.). He saw the s'more and all he could think of was the mess it would make, so he just held it for now.

Gracie wrote: "“What do you mean, stressful?” Nina asked, holding her skewer. She was curious on how she was doing. “Has something happened?”""Yeah," Abigail said, pulling her marshmallow away from the fire. "Elsa kinda passed out because she had to use her powers for to long, and I use my powers a lot so I've been tired, and the whole accident with Mazo's powers." she said as she put her marshmallow in between her graham crackers and chocolate
Mabel let the marshmallow catch on fire until it was burnt. She placed it onto the graham cracker with the chocolate, put another cracker on top, and took a giant bite. Crumbs fell all over her jeans, and she laughed to herself as the marshmallow covered her fingers in a sticky mess.
Ally swallows quickly and stares at the boy next to him. "Woah, that was intense." he laughs while putting one of his own mellows on a stick and holding it above the flames. "This is how I cook my smores, nice and golden."
Laurel wrote: "Apple told Mazo she was going to see what the smoke was from, and so walked over. Immedietly she saw it was almost everyone in the camp around a campfire, and so hid behind a large tree."
((Ahahahah I love this))
((Ahahahah I love this))
Ashley grabbed her smores skewer and went over to the fire. She held her marshmallow just over the flames, just like her dad had taught her. 'If only he and Mom were here.' she thought sadly, staring into the flames
Mrs. Thelma gives a loud whistle, then clears her throat. She steps up onto the platform and smiles at everyone.
"Campers and counselors, this is the moment you have all been waiting for. We have our cabin assignments completed! Cabins are composed of 3-4 campers and one counselor," she pauses for a moment, waiting for the last of the campers for take their seats and quiet down. "Now, two of our cabins are missing counselors for now, so those cabins will need to elect one responsible member to take charge for the time being. Preferably, this is a camper that has been at camp before or is older in age," she continued.

Abigail looked up at Mrs. Thelma and took a bite of her smore, getting crumbs everywhere. She brushed them away and continued to eat, still paying attention to every wordSam sighed and focused on Mrs. Thelma, even though he wasn't exactly excited about being assigned a cabin
Ashley fixed her gaze on Mrs Thelma and paid attention. 'I can finally figure out who my campers are!' she thought excitedly.
Bailee sat down and Isla kept reading her book
Mabel looked up at Mrs. Thelma as she stuffed the rest of the smore in her mouth. She couldn't wait to find out her cabin arrangements. I hope everyone is super nice, she thought. She pulled her hoodie sleeves down over her hands, and watched the fire as the director talked.
((Hey Ken remember that you need at least 3-4 sentences :) ))
Mrs. Thelma laughed at Kace's enthusiasm. "Hold on, Ace, I haven't announced if you are in one of the cabins that needs a leader yet," she said. One of her helpers comes up and whispers something, then hands her a revised cabin sheet. "Well now, it looks like our cabins have been finalized," she said, smiling. Mrs. Thelma takes a sip out of a mug of hot tea she had sitting nearby, then begins to read off the cabins.
( IM sorry I was in a hurry, )
Mrs. Thelma announced each of the cabins. ((Here is the list! Find your character's names. I will be making the actual cabins momentarily))

((Imagine this was before what Mrs. Thelma said.))
Lochlyn looked forward excitedly. "I wonder where I'll be placed. . ." He thought aloud. He took a bite of his s'more, which he immedietly regretted as the chocolate and marshmellow stuck to his lip. He tried to lick it away, and to any seeing bystanders it definitely was a weird sight.
Apple thought of going back to Mazo, but then remembered, "I can't stay hidden forever." She thought. "It would be of use to at least know my cabin then." (She heard Mrs. Thelma). She inched closer to the tree, trying to get ever single inch of more sound.

The Fire Ring is used for weekly campfires. There is a large fire pit in the center, with enough benches for the whole camp surrounding it. There are also a few rocking chairs. Smores are enjoyed here, songs are sung, and ghost stories are told. This is also the site of the incredible opening campfire, where cabins are announced and the entire camp comes together for a night of fun and laughter.
