Hi everyone!

Ingrid here again. It's officially the 2nd week of November. How have you all been?

Some of you may still interact with my posts and polls on this platform (great! I love hearing your opinions!)

With NaNoWriMo in full swing these past few days, a lot of things have been put in perspective for me about my career, what I want to do, and how I want to leave off my legacy here at SW.

I said some months ago that I wanted to depart as moderator in this group because I felt this group had run its course, for many reasons, in terms of providing value to you all, and to some extent this still holds true.

However, a new part of me realizes that this group doesn't have to "end" on a somber note.

This year has been a wake up for me to fall back in love with the art of writing, and a number of career changes has also made me realize that if there's anything I want to leave you all with, it's the tools and resources that I set out to create from the get-go to help fellow writers and myself go from struggling to successful.

I wouldn't have created this group if I didn't have the urge in me to overcome the hurdles of writing that I've been trying to overcome for the last 10+ years, and I know some of you still face similar challenges.

So with this group, it's not so much a goodbye, but a reshift in direction.

By the end of 2020, I would like to make this group the ultimate, static "How To" guide for all writers.

What would that mean for you guys?

- Easier-to-navigate folders and topics optimized based on your writing journey

- Pinning & Reviving Topics / Folders that were Most Helpful to our writers in the past

- Allowing Members to Self-Organize and Share External Repositories of Free Templates, Tips, Courses, and Resources that can help all writers

- Cleaner, mobile-friendly pages and topics

- Decluttering folders that aren't relevant or necessary for this group

Lastly, one final thing.

I thought about, after completing the bullet points above, possibly creating a mega Google Doc E-book of all the How-Tos and resources we end up compiling at the end of the year, and emailing it to those of you who would be interested. Basically everything from this Group, in E-book form. Free. I realize that sometime after 2014, Goodreads just stopped being innovative with their Groups community, and so it's reasonable that most of you would want to be able to access these resources for life, with or without your Goodreads accounts. Of course this would require an email address, but nothing more, and I'm still trying to figure out the nuts and bolts of that. But let me know your thoughts on if that's a good idea!

And if you've read this far, thank you as always!

P.P.S. - I am still reaching out to people whose works I've not gotten around to. So if I haven't personally messaged you about a work I had promised to critique do not think I've abandoned you. Life just seems to always get in the way for me.

As always, happy writing everyone!
Ingrid
