we stopped giving out group messages a couple of months ago, as for the past year or so , member participation was dismal.
Let us see what the coming months bring.
As you see most of us are keen only to play word games, and not to discuss much.
So also, I find the trend of new authors trying to promote their books in each and every thread , whether it is a suitable forum or not.

I agree with you regarding the new author tireless promos. And yes I Ave started to refrain from book discussions in other groups too not because of different opinions as much as mutilation of a book one loves. There are many reasons why one likes a book/ or not. Its when I couldn't go back and re read one of my favourites after one such discussion I yave backed down. Im a little peeved (maybe acting tne spoilt child (: ). But I do read all the comments.Im also such apoor reader of Indian/ regional writers that Im in awe of you all and ghost follow all your discussions. Anyways, I'll keep my eyes out for any further announcements.

I totally understand when you say you get peeved. Some books affect us so much that we get almost angry in defending or putting down those.
Book lovers are no less like wrestlers in a ring :P

it is. and I feel even worse since the arguments make sense and then I am beating myself up as to why I missed it at the time.
@ Jyoti like you started a very informal discussion with The Girl on the Train. It has received so many rave reviews it leaves you wondering whether its the same book. That too is very frustrating.
