End 2020 with an Odd Apocalypse! If you're ahead of our group read schedule, this thread is for you!

Odd Apocalypse, published in 2012 (which was one of those many apocalyptical prediction years), is the much anticipated fifth installment in the Odd Thomas Series. Odd Hours had been published in 2008 and fans were anxious for another full-length novel, waiting over four years!

Now here we are in 2020! Odd Apocalypse is a fitting end to a wild ride!

Remaining titles in our Odd Thomas Group Read:
Odd Interlude - November
Odd Apocalypse - December
Deeply Odd - January
Saint Odd - February

I think I've only read each of the last three titles once (Apocalypse, Deeply, Saint), so I'm looking forward to re-reading them.
Happy Reading Koontzlanders!

Charissa Wilkinson (lilmizflashythang) | 271 comments Maybe if I find my copy. Not quite sure where I put it.

I was thinking more about Odd Apocalypse, Deeply Odd and Saint Odd. I must have read each of them twice. Once when first released and second in 2016 when we last did a group read of the Odd Thomas Series.

We have opened the door to December.
Is anyone currently reading Odd Apocalypse?
I haven't started yet, but plan to soon.

Matthew | 183 comments I will start this soon...I am roughly midway through Interlude and will start the Apocalypse (see what I did there) right after I am done

Susan Beamon (susanbeamon) | 71 comments I just finished the book. I kind of liked it. I thought it was, in addition to Odd's activities, a very interesting haunted house mystery. I liked the addition of N. Tesla and some of his theories of time and electricity.

Wow! You already finished it - Congratulations!

I might start re-reading Odd Apocalypse this weekend. Looking forward to it - will check back soon.

I'm currently re-reading Odd Apocalypse. For years, I've said that Odd Apocalypse was one of my favorites in the series, but I think I need to retract that statement. This is my third time re-reading the entire Odd Thomas Series and I've been re-ranking my favorites. Odd Apocalypse might be my 4th favorite. I'm finding that Odd Apocalypse is not as concise or well-contained as Odd Interlude, Odd Thomas or Brother Odd.
I still need to read the second half of Odd Apocalypse, Deeply Odd and Saint Odd.

My Odd Thomas Rankings so far upon re-reading:
1. Odd Interlude
2. Brother Odd
3. Odd Thomas
4. Odd Hours
5. Forever Odd

Kirstin Viland | 9 comments Ok... is no one else going to note Dustin's mention of another Koontz book? or did I just notice because it is one of my favorites?

I appreciate your wording on your comment from December 1, Dustin!

The Door to December :-) Thanks for noticing!

Kirstin Viland | 9 comments Just wrapped up with Odd Apocalypse. Now that book was more of what I most enjoy in Koontz's books. I like the odd, unexplainable occurance books with several characters weaving their way through the different scenarios. In a way, different aspects reminded me of 77 Shadow Street and of Phantoms.
I think my running ranks currently are: Brother Odd, Odd Apocalypse, Odd Thomas, Odd Interlude, Odd Hours. Obviously this will probably change by the end of the last book.
