Paperback, black cover, oversized and thick volume, read over 20 years ago.

Main character is a woman. Interior Designer, mentions Natuzzi leather couch on one of her design projects, might have been a project for her ex-husband.

Had at least one child.. a daughter. Daughter runs away. She is underage but lies about it and becomes a model. Dressed a lot in black. Dates a dangerous black man who was usually handcuffed. She manages to bribe someone to remove his handcuffs and dies while they are sleeping together.

Can't recall if she had a son.

I believe she had lost her memory when she fell off a cliff.. might have been in Europe.. warm climate. Wanders and finds a Church. Eventually remembers who she is and connects with man she wasn't sure she could spend her life with. I think his name was Santi.

Then name Sonia (maybe her daughter) seems familiar.

I’m curious how you figured this out so quickly. I struggled with a very vague memory of this book and included several incorrect descriptions of it. Was this a book you read and remembered or did you use some amazing sleuthing skills?

Sleuthing! After I searched fruitlessly on archive.org for Natuzzi furniture, I tried searching within Goodreads. I didn't get anywhere with amnesia, but I finally hit pay dirt with the search "site:goodreads.com 'santi' 'daughter' 'sonia' ".
