Christopher Williams (thewrongwriter) | 4 comments I'm looking for at least 1 beta reader for my second mystery novel. The book comes in at about 51,000 words. I want to make sure everything flows well and brings a smile to the reader's face.

Experience with the San Francisco Bay Area is helpful, but not required.

Aiming to publish in late December, so I'm asking now. I can provide the first book in the series if needed.

Meghalee Mitra | 45 comments As a writer, I understand the care a new brainbaby needs. I have spent the better part of my life reading. I have a Master's degree in Literature, and have been trained to critique all forms of literature for over 5 years. As a beta reader, I invest myself at the work at hand, and plunge into the characters' journey. I offer extensive critical insight, and ensure that your writing gets the best. If you would like to check out reviews of my service, then you can find them at fiverr.com/wordpaint :)

I offer FREE proofreading to all my clients, as well as a free sample so you can review my style before you hire me. :)
I read ALL genres, and have extensive experience in critiquing them.

Here's the kind of critique my Report consists of:

Opening
Character(s) Analysis
Pace or Flow
Language
Sensitivity
Dialogue Writing
Plot / Consistency
Setting / Description
Grammar and Syntax
Ending
Suggested Readings (to enhance your idea of the genre)

I also make space for any and all other questions you might want me to address. :)

My rate is $1 per 1000 words up to 100,000 words. After that it is $0.5 per 1000 words. So, a manuscript of 100,000 words would cost $100, but a manuscript of 200,000 words would cost $150. I will proofread the text for free, while providing extensive in-line comments. (Copyediting charges are separate. Contact me if you need that too.)

Please get in touch with me if you want to iron out details or rates. I would love to discuss your work with you, and ensure that it unlocks its maximum potential. Drop me a mail at meghaleemitra@gmail.com or just DM me here on Goodreads. :)

I would love to read your novel! If you are interested what I offer is as follows:

-An honest, in depth review of your writing, i.e what works and what does not.

-In depth suggestions on how to improve issues with dialogue, wording, story structure and plot points. All of which will be provided to you through a word document.

-I also offer brainstorming sessions through email or discord if you are interested. These are provided at no extra cost.

I charge $2 per 1000 words through PayPal. Please send me a message if you are interested!

Christopher Williams (thewrongwriter) | 4 comments Thanks everyone for your responses. I didn't expect to have so many good choices!

I've contacted a few of you for beta reading on this novel.

Hope no one minds if I keep your information. I will need some reviews as well, and I see a few of you provide reviews.

Besides, more books will come, and I will surely need the help! (Well, for the books. Me personally, I'm beyond help...)

Esther (estherarenal) | 16 comments Hi, I would love to beta your book! Not only I will provide you with detailed feedback but I will be your copy and developmental editor, meaning that while I will provide you with an extensive critique, I will also give you different pathways in order to improve.

You will get:

- Impressions on the first chapter and hook of the first line.
- Initial reader reactions.
- Feedback on character arc, the cohesiveness of plot, worldbuilding, pacing, and tone.
- I will also correct general grammar and spelling errors.
- Ensure the text has the best readability

My feedback PDF usually consists of these sections:
- Small overall review
- First chapter
- Characters
- Relationships
- Dialogue
- Setting and world-building
- Plot and pacing
- Overall
- Resources

In terms of software, we will work to use one that fits us both. If you have a questionnaire, I will work with it instead of a full critique. In terms of price, since it is 50k words it would be 40$ (deliver in 10 days).

If you are not sure if your work fits me or want feedback on things I did not mention do not hesitate to message me here or email me at esarenal99@gmail.com (also I can provide reviews of past clients). I will gladly answer any questions you have. Have a great day and hope you find what you are looking for!

Sharon (tossacointoyourreader) | 4 comments I'm definitely interested in this, and would love to read the first book in the series as well. I do not, however, feel comfortable accepting money, so my payment would either be something from my amazon wishlist, or I'd want the payment to be given to a charity of your choosing.
