Alexander Thomas (alexander_thomas) | 66 comments Hello writers-

Friday afternoon (10/30) was the October #RevPit event, where 15 editors and agents gave feedback on 10+ query letters + sample submissions each. That's over 150 examples of query letter feedback! This is pure gold if you're putting your own query letter + blurb together.

You can find all of the links on Twitter, but I find that a lot to wade through, and it includes a LOT of other noise. Here are each of the reviewers' threads with all of their notes in order, which I think is easier and faster to read. In most cases, reviewers posted everything on a single Twitter thread, which I've linked here. For those that didn't, I've added a link to a targeted search for their reviews.

Each link goes to the twitter thread where they review 10+ query letters + sample pages:
Heidi Shoham, Editor
Victoria Griffin, Editor
Natasha Hanova, Editor
Tarie Sabido, Agent
Bethany Hensel, Editor
Renae Moore, Agent
Leah Pierre, Agent
Adah Beatrice, Editor
Tiffany Grimes, Editor
Hanna VanVels, Agent
Selena Del Valle, Author
Michelle Rascon, Editor
Maria Tureaud, Author
Miranda Darrow, Editor
Megan Records, Editor

Great notes above on what makes a Query Letter great, common problems, and what they like and don't like in opening pages. (Spoiler: they do not like Prologues!).

Hopefully this list is of use to others. I found the examples very helpful!

Maegan Boyle (maeganjboyle) | 4 comments This would probably be so much better if I knew how to read them! Think it might take me a while to get to grips with it. Seeing a few tid bits of advice throughout the tweets, but it seems so confusing without knowing what queries they're talking about!

Thanks for posting, though. Does seem like it will be helpful.
