I've also read it already, and I totally loved it. Definitely in my top 10 this year! I gave it five stars, but I felt that Luc could've been more evil. I think if I had 300 years to make a person give up their soul, I'd come up with stuff that's more terrible than what he did. I loved both Addie and Henry, but what I actually loved the most about this one is the ending. It. Is. Brilliant.

lmao so this was my 3rd least favourite book of the year. I despised it, to put it simply. For me, the writing was blocky, sometimes flowery and sometimes blunt with no seamless changes between the two styles.
Addie was a boring MC that over 300 years had no change in monologue or how her POV was written, which to me showed the lack of development she had. The only thing I know about her is that she has 7 dumb freckles. She had no personality and bored me to death.
Henry was even blander than Addie, if possible. He was sooooo boring. He literally was the most band, stale, and crusty person ever.
Luc was decent but he fell in love with a bland Addie so I can't say I care much for his taste.
the plot was non existent and it became very repetitive with nothing happening in the story.
The end pissed me off and I will stay with my head canon that Addie falls in love with Luc and they live happily ever after instead of her betraying him (which will not lead her to gain legit anything).
overall I really disked it
