SOLVED. Can't find the name of this book anywhere! [s]

I remember checking out a book years ago and all I remember is that the main character was a young girl named Canada (I do believe that was her mother's homeland) and the setting was in Turkey (I think). The location having to do with her father's job. I know it was an adult fiction and I would love to try and find this book!
