Cole shakes his head in disbelief of what just happened.

Mariah slows down, "I have to go home!" "My family...and Griffin..s**t Griffin!" She shouts and calls him. "Pick up...pick up"
Cole nods and starts texting friends and family to make sure they are okay.
"Mariah?" Griffin answers the phone confused.

"Grif listen to me...stay inside okay?" She says. "Where are you?" She asked pulling into her street
"In my room like a good little brother. Where are you?" Griffin replies drily, slightly annoyed.
"Here." She says pulling up to there house. "Griffen lock all the doors now!"
"You k sis? Did you almost get kidnapped or something?" Griffin frowns at her tone.
Cole sighs relieved when almost everyone replies back immediately. He looks over at Mariah, "You guys gonna be okay?"

A zombie comes down the street and Mariah screams and pushes them inside
Griffin frowns as they come in the door, "Who is he and why do you both look like you've been chased by zombies or something?"
"He is Cole..and because we have!"
Griffin laughs sarcastically. "Very funny. I'm not that dumb. What actually happened?" He studies Cole closely while he waits for an answer.
"GRIFFIN!" "THATS WHAT HAPPENED!"
Griffin blinks. "You were chased by zombies." he says drily rolling his eyes, noticing how her face didn't change he adds in disbelief, "Seriously!?"
"YES." Then there's a screams outside

Griffin screams as something starts coming in from a window near the backroom. Cole runs over to where Grif is screaming.
Mariah runs back there and grabs a kitchen knife and throws it and shuts the window
Griffin starts crying. "You weren't lying." looking over at Mariah he adds, "Can i wake up now?"
Mariah hugs him tightly and lets him cry. "Its okay.." She says soothingly. "Its not!" She screams in her head
"Where's mom and dad?" Griffin asks breath hitched.

Griffin tries to get control of his breathing. Looking over at Cole he composes himself enough to ask a question. "Who's he?"
"Isn't he the dude who's dad owns like half the city?" Griffin pries.
"Griffin don't be rude.." Mariah says turning red
"How was that rude? If anything its a compliment. At least he'll survive the apocalypse in his mansion while the rest of us get eaten alive. Now that would be rude. But i didn't say that. Why is he here though?"
She sighs, "He's just about to leave..to get to his family..." She says then she turns pale. "What if we do get left behind to die?" She thinks.
"Cole do you think they'll actually do that?" She asked turning paler

"Leave the rest of us to die?"
Cole shakes his head reassuringly. "No way. Politicians are likely to start throwing fits over the fact we are mistreating zombies." He finishes hoping that the last part isn't a complete lie. "No way they'll completely leave people to die."
"I hope so." She says and gets up and runs into the bathroom

Cole hesitates walking away when he hears Mariah crying, but a warning glare from Griffin told him he wasn't welcome.
