A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages
Kristin Chenoweth reads her own memoir in this audio. The nice part about that is that Chenoweth is able to insert her little giggles and put the emphasis with the tone of her voice in the areas that you'd miss if you were just reading the book.

Chenoweth describes her life from the beginning, telling the listener that she was adopted and having a very good attitude of gratefulness to her parents who are never her "adoptive" parents. She also claims not ever to be interested in finding her birth mother or finding out why she was put up for adoption. She loves her life and that's it! She describes the whole process of getting to where she is now, including boyfriends, her battle with Meniere's Disease, her break through into Broadway and television, etc. all with a sense of humor. She's very much a Christian but not over preachy.

Although she has an amazing singing voice, her speaking voice is very unique and I've talked to others about listening to this book and have heard that others find her voice too grating. It is different but easy to adjust to. I enjoyed the way she read this and think listening to this is far superior to reading it.

Joi (missjoious) | 3970 comments I saw an interview with her (not sure if this story is in the book, it's been a while since I read it) that said she called a pizza delivery place, and they refused her order thinking she was a child because of her voice. It took a while, but she convinced them, and they eventually let her order, lol.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11107 comments I didn't get to see her in Wicked but I saw her on a few other shows. My favorite was West Wing, where she played the Press Secretary. Her young voice was really unexpected in that role, but she was so smart she made it work. If I read this, I would definitely want to hear her narrate.
