Adding an image to a General Update

Is it possible to add an image to a General Update? I did search 'add image' and 'general update' but the topics didn't provide answers.

I heard you can use the General Update to share author news such as a cover reveal. I see how to add text to the General Update option, but not how to add an image. Is such possible and how can I do it?

You will have to upload the image to an image hosting site first, such as gyazo or imgur. Then you can use the link they provide to post the image in an update.
