Waifs and Strays by Charles De Lint

A collection of short stories, some are very good and some just ok. I enjoyed the first story, Merlin Dreams in the Mondream Wood, and was hoping that it would set the tone for the rest of the book but the other storylines feel short. I do like Charles De Lint's writing style, he is able to draw you in and feel what is going on. Book is written for 7th thru 9th grade and young adult but adults who like the supernatural would enjoy this one too.
