I read this book series around 2012-2018. I believe there was 4 books in the series. It was about an alien species that invaded earth and this girl is sitting on a bench in central park (I think) and this alien comes and talks to her and they fall in love from there. This girl lives with a roommate too. This book was in english! The aliens names are hard to pronounce so I think they just call them K's?
