I adored Silas and the conversations he and Bod shared. He always had a way of answering Bod's questions that were satisfying, yet gave Bod an opportunity to come to his own conclusions. He was a wonderful guardian and mentor.
I completely agree with Sarah. I found Silas to be such an intriguing character and wanted to know more about him. Just to clarify, he is a vampire right?
I appreciated how Gaiman writes such captivating characters, and I really enjoyed meeting a new one in each chapter. Liza the witch was one of my other favorites. She was always looking out for Bod and helped him get out of a few tight spots.

Yes, yes yes! You ladies enjoyed two of my favorite characters. Julieta, Silas is a vampire. I had that totally confirmed reading the Graphic Novel. It was so much fun browsing through the pages and seeing an artist interpretation of a character that I had already imagined. I also loved Liza because I thought she bought out the best in Bod's humanity to want to have a grave marker for her. There was something so sad to me that she was buried in unconsecrated ground. Like they were the underclass of the graveyard. Wasn't there something so unlikeable about Miss Lupescu at first? I loved the way Gaiman wrote Miss Lupescur. He walked us down the path of dislike to understanding she had almost a motherly love for Bod. I think that was some of the best writing in the book. I also loved the twist on the Grim Reaper being turned into the Lady on the Grey. Who wouldn't want to take a ride on her horse?
