sure cassie! Can you elaborate that to me so it would be easy for us

message 4: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 49 comments Sure, here are the rules that i have done before!

Players are divided into teams of 12 members each:
1. 7 Chasers, they will be reading books like a normal readathon and will be awarded 10 points per 50 pages read.

2. 2 keepers in each team who will get a novella each day by the chasers. Failing to read it scores 20 points for the other team.

3. Two beaters on each team who try to finish the books given by beaters of the opposite team within two days and failing to do so will result in one of the chasers being knocked out. The books must be less than 350 pages. If all chasers get knocked, the game ends and the opposite team wins.

4. The last member is the seeker who gets a book series to read. The readathon ends if the seeker of either team completes the series and the team gets 1000 points.

The team with the most points at the end wins.
It is a lot of fun to do! If you decide you would be interested in doing it, I would love to help with it!

Scott Stevens I've got plenty of books that would be great to be a part of this. :)

Cassandra | 49 comments This could go as a challenge too. I'm not sure what the difference is though between that and a readathon...

Lacey | 124 comments Please give Shubham from The Midnight Readers credit, this was his idea.

message 14: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 49 comments Thanks Lacey! I got the idea from there, and thought it would be fun to do it here, since it never actually got going in that group

message 15: by Holly (new)

Holly (hollyabookdragon) hey, could we do a 24 hour readathon from the 15th to the 22nd?

message 16: by Srujan, Bibliophile (new)

Srujan (srujanreads) | 1325 comments Mod
Sure Holly! I would not be able to conduct it because of the festival maybe I can ask any other mods.
Or can you conduct it?

message 17: by Holly (new)

Holly (hollyabookdragon) thank you! I could probably do it, what exactly do I need to do? is it just set up the topic and the rules and find the winner?

Yes!

message 19: by Holly (new)

Holly (hollyabookdragon) ok awesome!

message 20: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 124 comments Unfortunately, that might not be an option. This is a mainly YA focused book club and it seems that you write adult books. This means that many of the members here may not be interested in your books. I would suggest you find a group that is more adult book centered and try there.

Sir, it was not a lie. We are just requesting you to promote your books in the topic which you have already created in the Promotions and guidelines folder because the other topics are meant for particular discussions.
