Phillip Emerson turns out to be the killer. Were there any clues pointing to him before it was revealed? How did this man get away with molesting Tessa over so many years?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments In hindsight, I can see that there were a few clues - the telephone call from Tessa now being the most obvious. That said, the inconsistencies in the killer's POV made it difficult to actually pin him down as the killer as they made me focus more on Kevin.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The only time he crossed my mind was when I was thinking about someone who may have the power to steer the police and D.A. toward Nick as the killer. I actually thought that he believed his son was the killer and was protecting him.

I don’t think there were enough clues to deduce him as the killer and it was, for me, a weakness in the story.

Again, I go back to the grandparents. How could they miss the signs that their 12-year old granddaughter was being molested, for 6 years!!!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I didn't get any clues that it was Phillip. Even at the end I thought he was protecting his son.

I didn't think it was a weakness so much as a failed Ah Ha moment.
